They sold 10000 items from from their costume collection.
Usually I never know when they have these things and read about it in the paper the next day, but this time they were a lot better with the publicity. It has been all over the newspapers the past week. The queue was half way around the block.
The great thing about this was that there was something for everyone - from the middle aged ladies who want to own a piece from a specific Ingmar Bergman play, to me looking for a nautical style blazer with (and for) the BF, to the "fashionable" girls with their hair in buns on top their heads looking for summer dresses.
Ah, now I'm mad at myself for not going to the Dramaten sale I decided not to because I assumed it would be mostly costume clothes that aren't very appropriate for every day wear. Were they really selling clothes from Bergman's plays?! Why didn't I go?!
Yes, lots of every day appropriate stuff - after all modern theater is often about modern people (wearing modern clothes on stage). And I think I remember seeing a rack labeled Bergman in the more costume-y section, I really didn't pay much attention to it though.
I feel lost without having gone through at least 2 sections of DN with my morning tea. I hate national holidays - I always walk to the front door newly awake, mutter about the delivery guy for not delivering our paper and make plans to call and complain to customer service, before I realize that it's a stupid red day and there simply is no morning paper today.
If it wasn't for my compulsive newspaper reading, I would probably have missed the Lachapelle exhibit as well. I really enjoyed that, and I found a semi-inappropriate poster to hang on my living room wall. B)
^oh no that ended.. I'm so lazy I totally forgot to go to that
back to the whole part of stockholm shopping, what are your favourite stores when it comes to shoes?
I really like mixage most of the times, they always have a great mix (and sale!)
Mixage is fun. I bought a pair of silvery round toed, thick heeled pumps on their sale last fall. Like something Minnie Mouse would wear to a party.
That's how I get most of my shoes - randomly - so I don't really have any particular favorites.
when are the sales starting in stockholm? do the high end stores start at the same time or do they have different kind of sales on exclusive days? oh and are the stores open on sundays?
i'm going to stockholm in the beginning of july and was thinking of getting my hands on some designer goodies. can't really afford to buy full priced clothes but if they have started their sales already, well it's a different thing
