Has anybody here have cowlicks on their hairline that obstructs them from having bangs? How do you go about fixing this annoyance? Someone suggested to me on using a Phytospecific Relaxer. Has anyone here tied this product? Replies are much appreciated. :flower:

i severely need help with this....i have bangs and i have to straighten them every morning. i dont know whether to grow them out...because then it looks messy and i need to have it looking neat for my job.

I don't understand... how can it obstruct you from having bangs?! I am not really understanding the issue..... :huh:

it doesnt obstruct you from having bangs but it looks funny because they curl up and dont sit flat. its frustrating when you want blunt bangs and they look all twirly and wavy.

Well for me personally, my cowlicks are more severe. It goes in the opposite direction, in other words it goes back instead of forward and even if I put strong goop in that section, the hair doesn't lay flat against my forehand and splits.

What are cowlicks? Do you mean a monkey fringe? In which case the good old fashioned laser hair removal can lesson them though don't have it too much otherwise they will go away and your hairline will look wierdly perfect.

A monkey fringe !!! :lol::lol::lol:

A cowlick as I understand it is when your hair has a natural kink in it which forces your hair in a certain direction - I have one in the top part of my fringe - think Farrah Facett flick here !!

I counter mine by clipping my hair over in the oppositie direction to counter blance it - I sometimes drive to work with them in and when I flick it back over its nice and flat !

:D

Oh so not a monkey fringe (the fluffy stuff at the edge of the hairline) then. Also not a widow's peak? The point in the hairline in the centre of the forehead that some people have? I am still having trouble working out what cowlicks are :(

Something about the Stubborn Cowlicks playing Austin in November? :P

Oh I see -I just googled it. I didn't realise this happened in real life! I thought it was a Something About Mary thing!

I thought cowlicks were those spirals your hair grows in close to your scalp, kind of like the center vortex of a crop circle...?

Yeah, that's it, only here it's right at the hairline... really useful if you're after late eighties' style hair with huge volume above the forehead :lol: but less useful if you want bangs...

I've got one at the back of my head and my only choice is to keep my hair short, long hair just looks weird...
