Superfine Jeans

Does anybody know how the sizing works for new model race (with side pannels) I usually wear a 27 (acne, filippa k, h&M) but i got a 28 in superfine race jeans, as they didnt had any in 27 and it was half price. I had them altered a little bit in the waist area. The salesgirl said they would not stretch, but actually i think they stretch quite a bit. They are not super super thight right now, but still thight enough. Although around the waist and *** they are quite lose. Unfortunately i was not able to try on a 27. I keep thinking i should not have bought this one and a 27 would have fitted so much better....
What is your experience, do you reckon they are true to size or are sligtly smaller/ bigger than other brands???

I'll try posting a picture later on ..

If anyone knows where to buy a pair of waxed Liberties in size 24, please let me know. I was on the wait list at a few stores, but they never called me back.

Thanks!:D

Which city do you live in? I know Scoop in NYC carries them. I bought mine there in December.

I live in Ohio. A month ago, I called every US stockist. Many don't carry Superfines smaller than 25/26. I found two that had 24's. I was on the waitlist, and they never called me back. Arggg. I even offered to prepay for them. I just gave up after a while.

Velony, did Scoop have them in 24's? I will also check Steve Alan, as their price is much lower than other stores.

I'm pretty sure they had them in 25's and they could have had them in 24 as well. I'm not sure though. I would give them a call.

Thanks Velony!^_^ I will call them. How do they fit? The 25 Liberties (regular finish) are too big for me, but I heard the new 24's run large?

Depending on how you would want to wear these I'd say they run pretty true to size. I'm a 27 in most jeans and the liberties in 27 fit me perfectly although they are very stretchy and I have still some room. Let me know if they have them in your size.

I just called them, and they found a size 24 for me! Very courteous and helpful sales staff. I even got them on sale. Thank you again Velony! You were a great help.

Your welcome! I'm glad I could be of help. How much were they? I had to pay full retail price.

They were $139 plus $15 shipping! A lot of their Superfine merchandise is on sale. I was thinking of getting a few other things. Have you tried the all-in-one jumpsuit?

Wow, you got such a good deal. I had to pay over $300 for my pair when I bought it in December.
I haven't seen the jumpsuit ydet but it sounds nice. Do you have a pic? I'm curious to see what it looks like.

Don't know what a size 1 means? That's the only size they have. I should call them, but I think I want to spend my money on a new sewing machine first.

I think it looks much better on the Superfine model (photo: superfinelondon.com)

I like it and the price is not bad either. But then again it's final sale and I would want to be able to return it in case it doesn't fit. I guess a size 1 would be a small or xsmall.

Yeah, I know what you mean. With a jumpsuit, the torso length & front rise have to fit so well. I also don't know how I feel about the leg opening. If you are in the market for more jeans though, I think they have a lot left. I was thinking about the Blondie, but I don't want to start a habit of collecting Superfines!

Yea! The 24's waxed Liberties have arrived. They fit much better than the 25's.:p

How does the finish hold up? Velony, mind lending your expertise?

Good to hear that the 24 fit you better. The finish holds up well but I haven't washed them yet. I guess you have to bring them to the dry cleaners.
I'm really looking for a new pair of dark blue jeans but I really don't want to start collection superfines either. Although it's tempting that they are on sale. I tried on the Harry style a while ago but didn't really like the cut.

The sales rep at Scoop gave me the impression that the waxed Liberties also come in indigo blue? Maybe this would be a good option for you, Velony?

I've worn my new jeans for a day, and they now mold much better to me. For a while, the waist and hips were still gappy. I think my hesitation with Superfines has always been the waist and hips. Now, I feel better about making more investment.

It's a difficult transition though, since I have been perfectly happy in Gap and Target jeans. The last pair of expensive jeans I bought were Earls, which I highly recommend if you can find the old styles on eBay. They fit like a dream in the toosh. I only feel comfortable buying expensive jeans if there is a tremendous quality and design difference, which I see with Superfine and Earls.

Depending on your body type, Levis has some nice, progressive styles...Let me know how the search goes!

size 1 is the smallest size. they go from 1 to 4 in all non-jean styles, including t-shirts, sweaters, jackets, etc.
