My favorite photo of her is that one of her sitting at the table in the feathered dress.

^^Mine is the first one with the cat  i like that one even better than the famous rooftop one, wish there were more. :(

Oh, that's my flickr!! Yikes, I was reading with dread, hoping I hadn't forgotten to credit.

She was already semi-famous in her own right before she married John Paul Getty Jr. She had co-starring roles in a few B-movies before she met Paul and eventually married him. I'm not sure how good her acting was, so I don't know if she could have had a successful career or not. John Paul really loved her, and she had a major impact on his style - look at how he went from business suits to hippie garb (one magazine I have even pokes fun at him for carrying a messenger bag) after they married. I'd love to have seen their home in Morocco - I can't imagine how it was decorated. In those ebay photos, the wallpaper behind Talitha is of Talitha topless, so I wonder if it was a bit on the gaudy side.
I'm no expert on her; as a matter of fact, I need to have several of my magazines translated.
I do have an English magazine with a big story about their son, Tara. He says he doesn't have much memory about his mother. And after she died, his father became a recluse, and left Tara to be raised by Talitha's parents. Tara looks very Dutch, and not at all like the Gettys. He seems very happy, intelligent and is quite the philanthropist. I'll try to scan it one day and post it.

Thank you for including the information on Tara. I have often wondered if he remembers his mother, and if he does, just what exactly he remembers most about her.

Another Picture!

You may have seen this one before. But this is from a photo agency - meant to be used in the newspapers & magazines. Nice glossy & not grainy. And within a few days, I hope to have a movie still of Talitha. Not Barbarella either. Stick around.View attachment 406713 Source: United Press International - Formerly owned by "La Prensa" - December 12, 1966 - Clave No. 6508 - Purchased & Scanned by Me:heart:

I know there are some of you who say that no other pics can be found of our beloved Talitha. But you would be wrong. Never satisfied with the status quo, we are always searching. Talitha fans may be small in number, but mighty in heart. Enjoy!:heart:View attachment 404761

I wonder if these are the same harem pants from the Patrick Litchfield photo?

They could be. I've noticed a lot of our fashion icons, especially Anita Pallenberg, recycled their clothes and wore them several times over the years. But mixed them with different pieces and stuff. Most celebs today wear an ensemble only one time, which I think is crazy. I always have certain pieces or accessories, like a purse or a bracelet, that I wear throughout the years b/c I like it.

New Talitha Movie Still!

I knew that there are more pictures out there and voila! She apparently played a small role in "Return From the Ashes" - I think she appeared on the screen credits as Talitha Pol. This was a scene with actor Maximillian Schell. Enjoy!View attachment 408000 Source: United Artists - Movie Still - Return From the Ashes- 1965 - National Screen Service Corp. - Scanned by Me!
