Tattoos

Me 2, i want a boyfriend with alot of tattoosB)

My family hates tattoos, so im the weird one and have to cover them when im there..
They would be so shocked if i brought a guy home covered with tattoos:lol:

Im trying to convince my BF to get one. He wants one, but has no idea what to get. He's considering his family crest....which is a nice piece of art actually.

I have to keep my tattoos covered up too! I have one on my wrist my mom knows about and hates. I have a puzzle piece on my other wrist and a tattoo on my side she doesn't know about. She would DIE.
I married someone covered in tatttoos, it didn't go over well at all for this one reason. But that's a whole different story. . .
Glad I'm not alone :flower:

Its sad that they cant accept you with tattoos, my mother recently said that i can only come over if i keep my tattoos covered..

Im also the only one who has tattoos in the family and i come from a town where there are alot of religious people and they judge you if you look different.

Thats also the reason i moved 2 years ago and now i live in a big city

Reg at Invisible NY.

I agree about the color as well. Plus, with color, it is a lot easier to distinguish all of the intricacy of the tattoo.

:o No way. I love Reg Gonzales. No wonder...your lines are pristine.

I was debating on getting part of my tattoo by him...his artwork and sketches are amazing too....but I just made a choice now to do all my Japanese tattooing with Horitaka and Horitomo at State of Grace. They're up in San Jose so not too far....but one of these days...I really want Reg to do a tattoo for me on my shoulder.

Now that I know your artist- color is pretty much a must do. He is amazing with his coloring!

In case anyone is curious on his works....

Wow! Great choice on Horitaka, he's amazing! How long do you or have you waited to get work done by him? I know last time I checked it was over a years time and he wasn't even really taking new clients on. But that is so cool you're getting a piece by him, any wait should be well worth it. :)

I'm also extremely happy with Reg. A true artist in every sense of the word and he's fantastic at his craft. I definitely don't mind traveling to NY to get work done by him.

^ Dont have a spot yet....he is debating on it....Im gonna end up waiting like a year or so but I think Im persistent but respectful enough that he's going to grant me a spot. And also its the artwork. Artist like him love big intricate pieces- I have had a few people willing for it that I like, but I would love him to ink me first. If not of course Regino was one of my first choices til I found out Horitaka was here now, possibly colin stevens...robert atkinson.... at one point I was going to fly to Japan for Horisho at Mindscape but that would mean I gotta finish a backpiece in less time since its such a far travel....still...SO many talented artist...its hard to pick sometimes, but at least I'm not going to be too too disappointed if Horitaka cant because I would be floored if I can get anyone of that artistic caliber to tattoo me.

i posted this on the fashion inspired tattoos thread from flickr.
i was thinking about getting it on my left wrist and the wire hanger on the right one. but im secondguessing about it, i love fashion and im really openminded, well my family isnt, but hey i dont live with my parents anymore..buuut, they still pay for all of my expenses. but its not like they are kicking me out over a tattoo, i hope...the thing is, im a girlie girl, to put it that way, i want girlie tats, but theyr tats anyways, im afraid by putting them on me, i might not like them bc of the style contradiction, you know what i mean? its not like i dress with summer dresses and bows, lol, but im not the piercings or related stuff kind of girl. and since the other threads almost dead i kinda hope you ppl can help me out with this one.

I'd say if you're second guessing any tattoo, then it's not the right time. You'll find what you really want at some point but there's definitely no need to rush into something you might regret later.
Honestly, I like the contrast, but that's just me. ;)

^ Theres that image of that some girls are kinda tough or hard if they got some tats or people think you gotta be from an "alternative" lifestyle....

Really tattoos are so openly available and more widely accepted that all walks of life have tattoos. There isn't a "type" anymore, its not just for sailors or condemning criminals like it was way back when.

Mr Rogers from Mr Rogers Neighborhood was covered in tattoos...that doesnt fit his cookie cutter good neighbor teach the kids lessons kind of image, does it?

Like you said, you are attracted towards fashion themed and feminine tattoos.Tattoos show what is important and beautiful to you... If you're a girly girl and you have feminine tattoos, doesn't that enhance and make a statement about the kind of person you are instead of contradict it?

At the end of it, just think well on your tattoo if its really something you love and is special to you.
