I did a Google search for this on TFS and a regular TFS search and didn't find anything.

Has anyone had experience with 100% pure Tea Tree Oil? I recently bought some and am a little nervous about it. I hope it will fade my acne scars. I heard it's better then rosehip oil, I haven't tried RHO but I heard really good things about it.

Forgot to mention I am going to try this tonight so hopefully it'll go well.

I've been using it for a month.

Doesn't work. Scars ain't fading.

WHO TOLD ME IT WORKS? Come out come out...

you are not supposed to use it directly on your face. its very very potent. Mix it with a carrier oil like Castor oil or coconut oil.
for scars, i use fresh lemon juice (from a lemon) as a spot treatment. stings but works. took about 2 weeks of nightly use only....not recommended for day time.

I used lemon juice a few years ago after hearing recs.

It set my face on fire.

Fading scars? I don't know and never tried it. It's good for clearing up acne because of the anti-fungal properties.

Tea Tree oil doesn't have any scar or pigmentation fading properties, it's a very potent antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal tho, like 5% tea tree oil works just as well as 5% benzoyl peroxide to treat mild to moderate acne which imo is tres impressive. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2145499

Acid peels (like spot treatments with 20% glycolic acid  ), vit C serums and other things can help to fade the dark marks left by acne.

I don't use pure oil but I use:

amazon

which is a cream you put on at night (from the body shop)
for a while I thought it wasn't working as it did nothing much.
BUT then I read the instructions and it said 'apply liberally' (which I wasn't doing, I was just applying a tiny bit)
sooo the last week or so I have put it on thickly, and people have actually commented on how much better my skin looks!!
I sound like an advertisment but still. It WORKED, I'm so pleased

I used tea tree oil before when I was a teenager and breaking out.
(It was a product from the Body Shop I think)
It did dry up my pimples but I don't think it helped in fading the scars.

can you mix a little with lotion? would that be better?

Tea tree oil works wells on treating blemishes but I don't think it works on scars... acids like glicolic work much better.
