stersita said:ok. I'ts just a silly question really, I saw this movie in my french class when I finished my exams ("La Boum", I DONT recommend it), and we were watching it with subtitles (in french aussi), and the girl there sometimes said "ouais" instead of "oui", and I was wondering if it's another way of saying it or...?

Yep, it's more or less like saying "yeah" in english; you won't find it in school books, but everybody uses it...

p.s.
You can also say "mouais" sometimes (it's still a "oui" but a bit more doubtful...
