hey Squizree :) i'm not an expert blogger by any means, in fact i've just started blogging not too long ago myself but these are some of my thoughts on your blog, it's just my humble opinion and i hope you don't mind me sharing :)

i think for your first blog, you've done pretty well! interesting news items, great little commentaries on the shows etc..! my only suggestions are to try to keep your layouts very clean and easy to read, because nowadays i think we have such short attention spans that if something requires 2 extra glances, we'll move right along. so try to make sure that the alignment for your pictures/text are all consistent and easy to read (maybe it's just my browser but for your post "fashion week incoming" there was a line near the beginning that was aligned to the centre).

secondly, as a general rule i think it's a good idea to keep a blog very image-based, since we really are a lazy bunch these days (or maybe just me!) and a lot of times we'll scroll right past all the text and look at pictures--and if the pictures look interesting enough, sometimes we'll read some of the text to see what it's all about (or at least, this is my approach to most blogs:p). so i guess what i'm trying to say is: keep the text short, concise, and to-the-point--there's a reason why Twitter is so popular:lol:

other than that, it looks great and keep up the good work! :D sorry for the longwinded post!

I just created my blog. I share the clothing ideas from different designers in other countries such as Thailand that I came from and there're more stuffs that I am planing to post. please go check it out!

i loooove your header (or whatever it's called--the banner on top that says your blog name with the pictures)!! did you make it yourself? looks great!

i like your blog content but i find that some of the pictures (especially in your most recent post) are too small. i know that you've linked them so that they can be enlarged when clicked, but as a reader i think it would be easier if the pictures were a bit bigger--not huge but enough to see most of it quite clearly.

i especially enjoyed the backstage video of the dior homme show ;)

Longwinded? What are you talking about? This is exactly what I needed! :woot:

You're definitely not the first person to tell me about loading up on pictures and keeping the layout simple, in fact you're confirming what everyone else is telling me. Ive tried to keep it basic with just black background and gray text. I've also added a few more pictures but you're right, I need more.

Thanks loads!

My blog is in my signature but I haven't mentioned it here before and was wondering people's opinions....

I initially started it as a kind of scrapbook/journal to compile my inspiration, but it has been evolving and I'm going to start outfit posts soon. I'm not sure if I want a more structured 'direction' or to just continue posting when something inspires me.

All thoughts/criticism appreciated!

Thank you so much!! ahha I made the banner by myself. I like you love it.

About the pictures in the contents you can enlarge those by clicking on the thumbnails. ;)

my new blog! <3 pap1llon.tumblr.com
Hope ya'll enjoy it. I just started it yesterday, it may need a little tweaking. I'm trying to find a way of moving the little tumblr dashboard away from the right corner of the photo and up to the top right of the page. CSS is bloody mind boggling!

Despite having blogged from 2001 (the friends-only sort) I'm sort of re-learning to get used to updating a new blog on the public domain. I'm not the best at filtering out honesty, but I think taking it one day at a time will help nurture whatever unrefined style I have going for it.

I'm looking to integrate the blog with my own online portfolio eventually (moving it to my own domain at a later date) so it'll be interesting to look back in a few years and see how much it's developed (particularly in manner) haha.
