holierthannow, I love it!
How is it easier than blogger?
Oh my gosh, let me count the ways ...
- creating different pages like a "real" website is very simple (like, about me, press, etc.)
- in the journal post/blog post, the interface for each post has MANY more options yet is very easy to use. Like, when you add an image for example- you can easily add a link to it, make sure the link opens in a new window, etc. without having to go into the html (i know on blogger you can easily add a link but trust me, there is just so much more this allows you to do quickly).
- easily create categories - i love it when blogs have categories!!!
- easily create AFTER THE JUMP which is very cumbersome in Blogger
I mean the list goes on and on and on. If you don't know or like HTML or CSS (CSS... nightmare to me), Squarespace takes all the hard work away from you. If you do know html/css, I can only imagine the fantastic things you could do to customize their templates (of which there are many).
Anyway, I swear i don't work for squarespace! also, i'm sure wordpress and typepad can do a lot of this stuff too but I haven't used them.
Only thing is -- squarespace costs money, like $8 a month minimum. I set up my whole site during a 2 week trial period and really waited until my readers had migrated over until i signed up for real. I think $8 is worth it considering the time and energy I save with this interface, also -- i think it looks much more professional than blogger (because i am not slick enough to customize blogger like many of you guys can!!
)
anyway, thanks for your kind words about my blog
