I admire Thakoon quite a lot and somehow I don't feel he's done himself justice in this collection. The clothes, while being wearable, don't leave any lasting visual impression.
I do like the off-the-shoulder cut throughout the collection and the prints on some of the black/white pieces is appealing.

It was said earlier that this collection doesn't project any one, definitive image. In short, it all seems a little wishy-washy.

He is an excellent designer, I am still fuming they gave Phillip Lim the PE. swarovski award instead of him
My only concern is he seems to be beholden somewhat to the whole "catering to the press more than showing my identity" movement...........
hopefully at some point his true self will come to the fore......

I think this may be his true self...originally he just wanted a T-shirt and sportswear collection and this is no where near that...he's truly amazing
