Ahh my parents were also going on about how the London Mayor's jacket was undone, mum was trying to give him an excuse like "Well, I guess it is pretty hot... maybe he's getting a bit stuffy" and my dad would say "That's no excuse! he can be stuffy for a little while! the cameras are all on him! It doesn't look good" Blah dad!
This is the first time I've been able to watch a bit of the rythmic gmynastics, I only saw the final 2 rotations and I must say I love Evgenia Kanaeva and Anna Bessonova! Talented and pretty
I was a bit sad for Anna when she didn't score as well as she thought she would on clubs, I thought it was amazing
but then I'm no expert at judging.
I thought these olympics were great ('cept our main broadcaster on television were being
extremely selective and still had that damn 3 hour slot for stupid AFL on saturday when the olympics were on!
Much abuse was hurled at them), there were some squicky bits I wasn't so sure about, like the obviously forced large smiles on the little girls' faces in the Closing ceremony, clearly they were given the instructions
smile largely and wave or else...
What really impressed me with these Games is that the Opening Ceremony especially was something that I have not ever seen before, it was phenomenal; the man (and women) power they realise they can use and can harness to transform it into something truly spectacular.
I don't London has quite that ability, but we shouldn't judge until we've seen the final product! B)
