The Blush thread, all you need to know...

^Powder over liquid highlighter? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

I love blushes. I'm quite obsessed with them actually.:innocent:
I apply Essence All Over Highlighter and then blush, it's my newest big idea.

Thanks to all of you for the tips!♥
Unfortunately, I only use foundation maybe 2 o 3 times a week, if I go out at night.. I normally apply blush directly onto my bare cheeks, but, as I said, I just have the feeling that it fades quickly..
I like the idea of primer+blush, but I don't really know any good, not expensive primer..I actually do have this primer by Sephora, in the jar it's pink and all shimmering, but I don't know if it really makes things last longer :)

I'm also DYING to try out NARS's Orgasm/Super Orgasm..the color looks sooo pretty and unique, and I always feel the need to try out those sooo raved about products. I
was in Paris but I didn't buy it because NARS blush compacts don't carry a brush.. Do you know any good, nice dupe that is available in Europe? I don't mind the price tag since it's going to last me for years and years.
Temptalia says that Lancome's Mandarin Sky blush it's very similar but I can't find it in make up stores..

I'd really like to try Mandarin Sky too, but I've never ever seen it in store.

Temptalia has posted some really lovely blushes lately!

I can thoroughly recommend the Lip & Cheek Creme from Becca. It lasts all day, no primer or powder needed, and a little goes a very long way.

No, I only use a very small amount to set my makeup, the liquid highlighter still shows through.

PS: The two blushes you've posted above are STUNNING. I want both of them.

the Becca lip & cheek looks amazing, it's exactly what i'm lookig for! where can you get their products?

I'm back on the NARS train....im finding i make mine last much longer by spraying a facial mist toner over my makeup when im done!!

This is what i do-
1. I set my makeup with powder
2. Apply 50% of the amount of powder blush I would normally apply
3. Lightly spritz my face with my mist toner all over
4. Let it dry and then quickly add a little more colour or just brush my cheeks with my blush brush to set it.

I find the toner allows the powder to set properly on your skin instead of just floating on the surface so it can just fly off!!! This def works for me!!!

^You could also just wait until you've applied blush until you set your makeup with powder.

The only cream blushers that i've used are nars and topshop. it's crazy, but i actually prefer the topshop...it's such a great price and i love the selection of colours

I want Chanel's new joues contraste soo badly:
Chanel Espiegle Joues Contraste Powder Blush ($42.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a softened peach-orange with a faint champagne sheen. The texture is soft, silky smooth, and it is impossible to overdo; while the color be layered for a truer-to-pan look, it starts off subtle and sheer. Accordingly, if you do get more color than you’d like, it is easy to blend out. It is a new and permanent shade (according to Chanel’s website) from the the Spring collection, which is online now and seems to be coming out in stores rapidly, too.
Espiegle is a slightly muted version of MAC Utterly Game, but the two are definitely sisters. Even texturally, they are surprisingly similar, as they both have that finely milled, slightly powder (but not in a bad way!) feeling. I would say Utterly Game has more of a matte finish, though, and it can be built up to a more intense orange shade. When worn sheer, it also compares to NARS Sex Appeal–a touch more orange.
Joues Contraste is a silky smooth, very finely-milled powder blush that applies subtly and can be layered for a deeper look–but they are never really bold or bright. They are very easy to use, because they blend beautifully against the skin. While pricey, it is in line with designer brands like Chanel, and they don’t skimp on the amount of product.
