sorry i should have been more specific, im having a stupid day today. i mean in my case no boobs or hips, so basically no waist either. im also short at 5'3. im not offended susie, and yeh uk size 4s are impossible to find, except in TK maxx and jane norman. so i normally wear size 6s.

ok- so i modified the title of the thread...

and in my mind...
you are in a good position this season because i think that an empire waist or babydoll little dress is the best way to go...to highlight your legs and make you look more feminine...

which is also very 'trendy' this season..
so you should be able to find lots of things like this

i also think that if you have smaller boobs...
you can bare a lot more skin on top with no chance of appearing trashy or vulgar - so i would take advantage of this as well...

plus you can do quite a bit of layering if you are so tiny and actually 'alter' your shape by choosing the right pieces to layer with...
blousy on top and slim on the bottom is what i consider the most flattering and feminine...

im 5ft3 as well, and im a UK 2 maybe a bit smaller. I find it difficult to shop for clothes my size too. If you want some shops go to Esprit or Gap they do smaller sizes but it is kind of restricting. I know it is hard to dress, but i dress quite boyish and its hard to find like "indie" sort of clothes, but if you go to markets you can sometimes find tiny sizes. I like being a size 2 but its hard work, hehe. Good luck.xxxxxxxx

that is no problem. just good luck with finding clothes. Yep, they stock them in only a few stores, and UK2 is my actual size, but i have to settle for 4/6 sometimes, but then they are baggy.

To dress, I wear super skinny skinnies, with really baggy tops or really oversized jumpers. I wear flats/converse mainly. I like the skin tight bottoms and really loose tops, works well, but doesn't give me much shape, but I like it like that. Happy shopping, hehe.

I had no idea they did UK size 2 and UK 4 is so rare to me.

Im really skinny too and I find that wearing baggy tops can make me look even smaller and highlight my small frame.

I'm not sure on the measurements but in Australian sizing, whatever the UK size the australian one will be two sizes bigger (e.g. size UK 4 is AUS 6, size UK 6 is AUS 8 etc etc). I hope that helps

Anyway, I was wondering having no curves can I pull off the oversized sweater look, or will its look like its swamping me?

Embrace the flatness...now that its summer i find i can wear a simple ripped t-shirt and because of the lack of breasteses I dont really care if i flash someone through a rip!

As for sizes, you cant find uk size 2 and 4 in shops and now 6 is hard to come by. Im a 6 in dresses and this summer for love nor money could i get a 6 anywhere. I suppose that if you wear bigger sizes it swaps you (thats kind of in fasion anyway.) Jeans are the only ones i've seen that come near a size 4.

well you can get quite a lot for tiny sizes in some shops. It is possible to get a 2/4.

I like the oversized look, and I think most smaller people can pull it off. Looks good!

Have you tried Dorothy Perkins for size 6 dresses? they have some really nice ones there.

I got so frustrated today, im looking for black school trousers, and size 8 is too big in the waist and the only place that sold size 6 the length was too short in the leg. Thats the problem with living in such a small town out of the 10 or so clothes shops only 1 of them sells size sixes, so i just use the childrens sections normally

uk size 2? i've never seen that size before. that must be -0 in us. the thinnest girl i know buys a size 6...you can get that from most young high street shops, like topshop. i think if you are that slim most things will suit you aside of tops that require cleavage (bustier etc) and baggy jeans (they'll swamp you). like someone else said...look at star style, most of these girls are thin too. good luck!

I personally think that, as long as we dont get too worked up on our sartre-styled analysis on skinny-focused society, this thread might be helpful for a lot of people.
I know i probably sound so repetitive here but my sister is ..olsen-twins size , she never finds anything for her, not to mention she's quite confused about what could make her look bigger and less skinny than she already is. it is a problem and just like some people struggle by too-small sizes, some people just cant find something small enough to fit them.
once we acknowledge that in the same natural way we can recognize people with different faces, i think we can all get along and respect those who have the need to come here.
