I'm planning to get caramel highlights. I'm wondering if it makes a difference between going to a salon that uses Aveda color, Redken, or Goldwell. I went to an Aveda salon before and noticed that the color fades rather quickly. I'm not sure if it's because Aveda is more of a natural, plant extracted chemical that might wash out more on burnettes. Anyone have any recommendations in terms of what color service would be more appropriate for brunettes?

Mandy Moore looks amazing as a brunette. I think she's back to blonde now, which is disappointing because it makes her look rather generic. I loved her warm brown hair, both the shorter style like Sun_Goddess01 posted, and when it was longer.

I think beautiful women can be blonde, brunette and red head. We had a poll in work the other day for a feature, and brunettes won by miles. The general consensus was that it's 'classier and naturally sexier '. The problem with going blonde sometimes, is that you run the risk of 'looking like everyone else'. Just think of how many brunette actresses/models went blonde and ended up looking (still attractive) but more bland, standard and like everyone else...
P.S John Freida 'Brilliant Brunette' range is great for anyone considering giving them a go.
