i have reallys tronf olive undertones to my skin, and i am wondering if any of you knwo of an actress/celeb with such a predicament who pulled off brown hair with red undertones... my eyes are a warm brown--- think chestnut and are rimmed in greenish/grey. ia m wavering between that and golden brown(darker brown with caramel highlights). i jsut thought a dark rich auburn woudl be smashing for the fall/winter

thandie newton exemplifies the classy brunette

and we are still missing soo many awesome brunettes zhang ziyi, kristin davis, and zoe saldana

Great forum!! I have a question about the John Frieda Glaze. I have brown hair with some gold highlights (which I am slowly fazing out with brown lowlights)- do I use the glaze for brown or blonde hair? I read that you should use glaze for your highlighted color, which in my case might mean blonde. If I use the one for blonde hair, will my highlights stand out more? If I use the one for brown hair, will my highlights turn green?? Does anyone know??

Thanks!!

hi, i had highlights too, not platinum blonde, more of an ash blonde done with feria's diamond blonde collection. the glaze (john frieda's stuff anyways) just makes them like darker color. in my case it toned down the highlights to like a light ash brown/dirty blonde color which then helped me to bring all of my hair color to the same level (then i died it with natural match by loreal) i highly doubt they'll turn green, but if anything bad happens, use dishwashing liquid and it will remove unwanted residue on your hair :flower:

Thanks so much for the advice! I was planning on buying some Glaze today. I hope it turns my highlights a bit darker without adding any funky coloring to it. But even if it does, I have a hair appointment scheduled for next week.
