The Cover Challenge (PLEASE READ THE THREAD RULES IN POST #1)

From LV itself + it's already on social media.

And for the third time, as mentioned, those lines are still white. :heartonfire:

Sort of off topic, but has there been any confirmation that the additional shots were also shot by Meisel? It's kind of odd that they would have two completely different sets of images for one campaign, plus the 'lookbook' images don't really seem like his work to me.

According to theimpression.com :

"Review of Louis Vuitton ‘By the Pool’ Summer 2023 Ad Campaign by Photographer Steven Meisel

Louis Vuitton dreams in summer shades of white and blue with its new “By the Pool” campaign for Summer 2023, captured by photographer Steven Meisel.

The imagery echoes the collection’s feel of poolside chic and tight blue and white color scheme across a crisp yet dreamy visual world. It’s a simple campaign that taps into the summer vacation: luxuriously lounging by the pool without another care in the world.

The other one is this:

Okay, my precious people, I believe it is a time to announce this week's winner. But, before I do that, I have to praise literally every entry - as well as to thank you for them, which, of course, goes without saying! - and to let you know that you gave me an *EXTREMELY* difficult task, because if I were to determine the rules, we would have at least five winners in this round, since the tiniest nuances were decisive in making my final decision!

Without further ado, this week's winner is @Toni Ahlgren with:

CONGRATS to the winner, and once again, a major THANK YOU to each and everyone of you! :redheart:

Aww.. thank you so much! This was actually a very fun round. With more open themes I tend to spend ages trying to find the right image, then I end up doing eight at the same time never being satisfied with any and eventually run out of time. This felt a like reality show challenge, "you have these images and that's it, make it work!" :smilingwhearts:
About my winning cover, I didn't mean to steal @vogue28 's good old VP look and font, it just came naturally while editing the image.

Anyway, for the next theme... I've always wondered how the hair and make-up teams can keep charging thousands for that "natural wind blown hair" or "just a nude lip and a little bit of mascara".
Also as a forever 90's nostalgic, I keep wondering how Mica can work year after year with that same itchy looking mop or Kiki with her limp over the sink dyed hair.
Let's have theme that shows those teams have really worked for their money and where some versatility can be seen from the models :

HAIR AND MAKEUP

Well I'm gonna make an exception here and post a non-entry :winkingwtongue:
I think her new haircut is one of the ballsiest moves in 10 years, completely changing her from a pretty face to an extraordinary face. Also I like how they've styled the hair in different ways, completely doable even with a short bob.

I've always wondered how this photo would have looked like if Luigi & Iango had left it in colour, instead of aiming for an extremely high contrasted BW version in post-production. And now, almost 4 years later, I think we finally have an answer… (I'm so sorry that I didn't have more time to perfect it according to my own criteria, but anyway, I think this will give you an idea!)

This is my first time doing a cover and first time even using Photoshop. I was originally going to use Ruslana Korshunova for the cover but nothing was really working. It's not as good as everyone else's covers, but I like it ^_^
