Ok so...I was playing around a few weeks ago and thought, maybe this would be a good theme?
THE REDO:
Take a cover, from as long ago as you want, and modernise it. Magazines have hundreds of little lay out, text and picture options for every cover, So if there is a picture in the editorial you though should have been the cover? Have they changed their fonts (I know
Vogue Paris has a
'new' font which was actually
British Vogue's from the 90's), Have they changed Editors? (How would Edward resee some of Alexandra's covers?, or how would Emmanuelle redo something from Carine?)
You can use the exact picture, something similar or another shot, just modernise your favourite cover to make it look like its from a newsstand today!
here are a few examples, for mine I tried to replace all the cover text in a more 2020 US vogue format and changed a a few colour palettes and images.
