I liked them a lot when I was in my early teens but now ... I don't like Jim Morrisson. He seemed arrogant and mysoginist.
So overall I think they're overrated but they had some good songs.

Morrisons vocals are just so haunting and ...they just bring you into a song

When I think of The Doors in the context of fashion, I mostly think of Jim Morrison's leather pants. B)

er... yes, the music... to tell the truth I always felt the Doors were overrated. They did have some good songs, though, and they were unquestionably powerful and relevant in their heyday. Morrison definitely had a way of taking you with him to some hallucinatory places, to paraphrase Rosco.

They are a bit overrated...I wouldn't put them in the same catagory as Hendrix,still they did give something to add. they started out so strong in the begining, it was hard to keep up the success. Jim Morrison was a great singer and a great poet.The Doors did some really good songs like "not to touch the earth", "the crystal ship" and the absolutely glorious "riders on the storm".I still loooooooooooooooooove the Doors.
