YEAHHHH, I never thought I would find this thread on tfs.
I'm so in love with the doors and jim. I'm really thankful I had a period where I would play need for speed underground because I wouldn't have known them for so long.
I have tones of their music, and the sound is just so taking, your body is almost possessed. He was also a good poet, I would never have thought that he would be so profound in the metaphors and stuff.

Me too. I was watching Oliver Stone's "The Doors" and found this thread. I was seriously expecting a lot more pages and pictures. So disappointed

It certainly wasn't what I expected. It's a good movie in the sense that it portrays the time period pretty well, but as far as Jim's character is concerned it was pretty fictionalized and he seemed more like a drunk than a poet in it.

Aww that sucks. Its like reading this thread, I have this weird image of him. (with people saying he smelt like horse and stuff) So I try to keep the charming, mysterious, genius image of him in my head. He was so great.
