The Eyebrow Thread, all you need to know and ask about your arches

my eyebrows point down a bit and make me look angry/unhappy all the time,
like mariacarla boscono sometimes

I just got my eyebrows done and I hate them!! I'm so depressed now....funny how a couple of hairs (or lack of) can affect you. I used to have thicker eyebrows which I liked...now they're so sparse ugh.....

How long will they grow back??? heelp!!

I think eyebrows really say a lot about a person.
Although many people don't like the natural looking eyesbrows, I think as we grow older they appear more attractive. I remember making my eyebrows pencil thin and super archy.. It's been a struggle to grow them back to mold them perfectly. As of now, I am still in the process of waiting for them to all grow out...

It's so funny how other people will post a question asking for advice and actually get an answer, and then I come along and post and no one bothers to respond, even after I wait patiently for weeks. YOU GUYS ARE SO HELPFUL!

Not.:yuk:

^ tFS has some of the most helpful people, I'm certain that no one meant to ignore your question. The question kind of hard to answer so I can see people not knowing what to suggest.

exactly, no one ignores, people just don't give advice when they don't know the correct advice to give. and to me, that's way more helpful than just saying anything to answer the question...

hope it works out for you though mousquerader! :flower:

i love full eyebrows! natural eyebrows is a crucial point for a fresh look

Does anyone else here bleach their brows? I do mine because I keep my hair blonde but have dark brows naturally.

Is that uncommon? I don't know anyone else who does it...

I recently went blonde and I want to start but my hair dresser wouldnt do it. She says that it looks good for a week or two but soon the dark hair grows outs which looks odd and it's a pain to keep it up she says. She trims my brows insead but I think they're still a bit too dark.

I have really small eyebrows above my nose(the place between my eyebrows), a went to the beautyspecialist the other day and she said it was to small to wax it away....but i don't believe her, she popped all my pimples and now I have red pimples and in the acne thread, they said it's wrong to pop my pimples...so I don't trust the beauty specialist anymore...
well the question is, how to get rid of the small eyebrows and I have some small eyebrows too above my eyebrows(forehead)....thankx:flower:

^silvi, you mean you have small eyebrow hairs between your eyebrows?
if so, usually they can be waxed away, or plucked if necessary.

yep, so strange the beautyspecialist said it was too small...well I'm going to another one, maybe it will work, I let you all know;)

My eyebrows are very thick and very dark. Should I have them bleached so they don't stand out so much?

Not necessearly true!
I´ve done it several times and it didn´t look starnge at all when the hairs grew back. So it isn´t a pain to keep as the brows don´t grow like normal hair- the hair falls out, so you won´t be having "roots" showing!

Try it, you will love it! ;) Plus, it looks great and more natural than having dark brows with light hair.

One thing that i do recommend, is for you not to have them really blonde, have them discoloured to a nice light brown, so this way they will look more natural and in harmony with your own skin colour and at the same time with your hair. :flower:

I didn't exactly want to read through the whole thread, so sorry but...

Is there anything other than Castor Oil than can help grow out your eyebrows? I heard that massaging your scalp helps grow hair, so could you do the same on your brows?

I'm usually trying to grow mine out. But then I get impatient and just keep cleaning them up again. But they're too small. And the odd thing is, one of my eyebrows is getting really fuzzy, while the other one isn't. I'm afraid I might have done permanent damage or something. When I was younger I did those ugly thin tadpole brows. But now I'd like something fuller.

Someone mentioned Angela Lindvall's eyebrows. I actually like hers. They are a bit intense. Maybe a tad too sculpted though. I think that can look unnatural sometimes.

Another person's brows that I admire (and regretably tried to achieve) is the young Marlene Dietrich. I want her brows (before they went all whacky), but I've discovered that trying it looks extra fake in real life. I admire anyone who can have that naturally, like Adina Fohlin.

pavement: I just ordered Mavala Double Lash for my eyebrows... it hasn't arrived yet but I'll let you know how well it works :)

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! SUPER HELPFUL!

I always find myself staring at other people's eyebrows. I guess it's a weird fetish of mine. I think really thin eyebrows are a little tacky. I go for the natural look. I get my eyebrows threaded. The girl that I go to lives like 40 miles away, but I love her work and I'm too scared to try someone closer. I'd also feel like I'm cheating on her if I went to someone else.

One of my special indulgences is my eyebrow guru. He's brilliant and makes my brows look just right. Still can't figure out how he works his magic! And he's sweet also! ;)
