The Lips thread, all you need to ask and know...

I've just run out of my Too Faced neutal lip injection. :(

It is amazing, definitely need a rebuy.

whats the best way to apply lip pencil? I can't seem to apply it correctly

Any suggestions?

i tend to start off with lining my cupid's bow then start from the outer corner of my upper lip and connect the line to the cupid's bow line. lower lip is easier just follow your natural line... what helps for me is to not hold the pencil so close to the tip and do small lines as opposed to one consistent one...if that makes sense????

Does anyone know a similar shade? I don't even know whether it's a lipstick or a gloss

i have no idea why, but quite often i get these sort of tears on the sides of my mouth...maybe my lips just get really dry but it can be quite sore. i just liberally apply carmex lipbalm (the stuff is amazing) and it always goes away in a couple days. does anyone else have the same problem/know what this is??

Try vitamin A, you can apply it topically right on the sides of your mouth, hope it helps! Also, it's spring time now and we all need vitamins, so buy some multi vitamins also

hello, does anyone tried benefit cupid's bow lip shaper? im looking lipliner with highlighter on the other end so im curious is this a good product.

jjbunny,

If you want cupid's bow lips, do what Max Factor did--put lipstick (or paint) on your thumb, then apply it to both sides of your upper lip, with both thumbs slanted towards the philtrum. Then wipe off any excess and apply lipstick to the rest of your lips. Be sure to wash your hands first!

I've tried this with mixed success, practice makes perfect as they say.

If anyone with pale skin is looking for a not-too-expensive nude lipstick that doesn't make you look like a ghost, then Gosh has a very nice l/s called Darling...will post pics soon!

Here they are...plus a review :D

It look like a concealer, but when you swatch it on your hand, you can see it has some pink/peach in it. It looks slightly more pink in real life

Nude lips/lips with one layer of Darling

Two layers of Darling

It wears ok. It's semi-sheer, but it's not shiny as you can see. I hate shiny lips on myself, but you could add gloss if you wanted to. It's a really nice natural nude lip stick, really. Something everyone should own I think!

I am going to be a bridesmaid soon and I am doing my own make up, very similar to Diane's look here. I am trying to find a lip gloss of a similar shade. The ones I have tired are not pink enough or are too bright pink. Any suggests?

^ Funnily enough, it looks like Girl About Town or Impassioned by MAC applied as a stain.

It looks like a powder product, or at least one in combination with the lipstick - the way the makeup artist is holding the cloth underneath to catch the fallout.

oh yeah, you're right! she is probably applying a pigment over the top, they can be used on lips and cheeks. you could definitely get the same effect just applying lipstick.

Thank you. I have Impassioned (I lost my Girl About Town and haven't got around to replacing it :() so I will give it a try. I can imagine it looking nice as a stain even if it doesn't look quite like that- that just looked like the perfect bright but soft pink!
