The Eyebrow Thread, all you need to know and ask about your arches

oh your lucky i wish my hair grew back that fast! ive been growing for the last 2 years and its still not grown fully.

i mean you can put it on earlier but its not as effective. its not going to be as effective when you sleep cuz thats when your body regenerates and absorbs things better.

you should go to a professional then if your eyebrows are crazy. always ask them do you have all the hair needed or are they gunna reshape according to what you have.

and yeah you should post your pic.

a_cookie your brows back then wasnt that bad. but i have no advice on what shape you should get. Get a natural one and you shouldnt aim for highly arched ones as your face is very oval

So do you wipe it off afterwards or leave it in?
I thought you didn't need to wipe it off but you said in your previous post "30 mins max." You mean put it on max 30 mins before you sleep of wipe it off after 30 mins?

Sorry for the questions cos I rubbed my eye today and a strand of my eyelash fell out!!! o.O!! Just a coincidence I hope.

oh i meant apply it on 30 mins before you go to bed and you leave it on as you sleep. it will be gone by tomorrrow or may leave some residue but totally harmless. you jusy apply it earlier so that you'll have head start and let it start working the second you sleep.

no over plucking. your eyebrow should start from the side of your nose. some hair may grow towards the middle of your face.

Another tip. use scissor instead of tweezers with hair really close to the shape. so that in case you regret the cut it will grow faster.:)

castor oil gave me spots  (maybe I put too much on?) but now im putting on pickle juice, basically vinegar, which is supposed to open up the opres to let the hair grow through. Ive noticed a real difference!

pickle juice?!?! Do you mean like what's left in the jar after all the pickles are gone? Or do you buy pickle juice separately? Does the smell of pickle stay on you? I'm only curious because you say it's working....

vinegar of pickle juice? isnt that alcoholic? as in dry you up alcoholic?

Pickle juice near your eyes??! What if you get it in your eyes?

With the juice it has pickles still in it (bit gross but its the price of vanity!) LOL. I just apply on at night, lie on my back for a bit so it does not drip and thats it really. Its a bit messy as it can drip but as I said the castor oil really made my skin break out so vinegar it is

I'm seriously obsessed with eyebrows! I luckily have a good natural shape. They're sort of thin, but I have a unibrow. LOL, so I just pluck the middle and the strays underneath. My hairs grow SO fast though! After a week or so, every single hair (and there's a lot of them) that I plucked out in the middle of the brows have started to grow back. In less then a month, all of the hairs are back and worse than before, so I try and pluck every 2 weeks.

is it better than castor oil?

For me it is as castor oil gave me spots. But only time will tell if its more effective. Its slightly more messy though as its liquid.

ya it does give me a zit now and then between my brow but its worth it.

is anybody else suffering from one brow growing slower than the other?

yeah it is so annoying! Ive been growing mine 2years and a half and its stll not fully grown. My full one just needs the base to grow and ill probably get there by the end of summer.

The slow brow on the other hand, still needs to grow back the the whole top back, the base has some potential hair growing, and the bottom of my brow also has some hair apearing the base finally!

I just need them to grow longer and then darken. This will really make my super duper unsymmetrical face more even.

i dont really know how it works. but im guessing it penetrates to your skin and pushes the hair out. Once you have the hair, it will grow by itself, and then castor oil darkens that hair and the hair that you already have.

This may be bad but, I think it can also push out brows that are about to fall since it has a weak root. I wouldnt really mind it cuz those hair will eventually fall off.:)

Heeeeeelp! I commited the eyebrow sin of over-tweezing and over-trimming because I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing. :( Well, I didn't overpluck very much, but my right eyebrow looks kinda messed up. What do I do now? :/ And how long does it normally take for eyebrow hair to grow back?

oh it depends how long it takes to grow. They say 10 weeks for it to fully grow but mine has to surface first then its more accurate.

About the over plucking, all you can do is be patient. That is one of the number one reasons why people tend to over tweeze.

You should look carefully on your brow but DO NOT use magnifying mirrors. It will make you become obsessed and iffy about every single hair. Also, dont do emotions on your face when plucking like the angry face or something. You should look at your face head on and tweeze with a normal mirror.

Its better to have some stray hair around the brow than over plucking. I personally like the natural look (Snejana Onopka, Sasha Pivovarova). It makes you look fresh, young, and approachable. I think skinny brows are fine but they do age you and sometimes scary looking.
