The Eyebrow Thread, all you need to know and ask about your arches

im growing out the medium brown brows(bleached) back to my natural soft black brows. right now im using MAC Browset in Show Off. i really like it but i use it sparingly. i wipe off the brush till its basically dry then sweep on trace amounts onto my brows then comb through with an old clean mascara wand.

itss good to hear you're technique.

as for my falling out issue. its gotten better. i think i have brow dandruff, which is really embarassing to say.

it sucks cuz when its on the roots of a hair the hair goes with it!

Can anyone give me any tips on how to achieve the beautiful eyebrows of the Indian bollywood stars? Im aware of threading but does anyone know how to get that long arched shape and how to keep them so groomed? Thanks!

heyyy guys!

could you offer me any tips on how to use Benefit's Browzings?
I really want to create that strong brow but I cant seem to achieve that with the brushes provided in the kit...how much powder do you put on it? AH!!

thanks heaps in advancee:D

Has any one dyed their eyebrows? How long does it take for the normal color to start showing? Mine are really light so I want to dye them the same color as my hair...

I heard that waxing can cause the skin around your eyes to loosen....:unsure:I've been waxing for many years now.....is it safe? Should I just ask them to pluck instead? Am I just paranoid?

well maybe it does. i mean if you keep pulling your skin when waxing and your skins elasticity is weakening then it probably will.

joiedemode, I tinted my eyebrows even though there already black and I would say the colour went back to normal after about 4-6 weeks.

Barbizon, waxing supposedly has that effect BUT if you want to change your method I would say try threading.

I wanted to bleach my eyebrows when I went blond but the hair dresser said you have to do it every 1-2 weeks.

Oh god that is really annoying  However I would be dying mine darker so do you think it would make a difference? Probably not... :(

i have a question how do you get rid of eyebrow dandruff i seem to have gotten it after a big falling out phase of my eyebrows.

applying jojoba oil before bed works really well on mine (moisturizes the skin underneath the brows and tames/softens coarse ones)

where do i get jojoba oil?

i have moisturizer and castor oil by the way.

Emailme,

How long have you been using castor oil? So even if I start to use it, it may take 2 years for my brow to grow back in its natural way? Or will I get a fast result. Also, can it really cause harm such as if I use it and my hair falls out, it may not grow back again even if I use a little?

I want to try this but at the same time I want to be careful. Thanks

what it does in my opinion is thicken your existinng brows and when it seeps under your skin it pushes up the brows under therefore making them appear faster.

the only downside though not really is that when it pushes your hair up it means that the hair will go up faster and this means that eventually your brow will reach its peak growth but faster. Now this doesnt mean if you continue to use it, it will push the hairs out more as it cant possibly make your roots budge that much.

as for the growing time, ive been growing it for 2 years now and my faster brow is doing well and the slow one still hasnt grown its base and everything else is very sparse. my brows are still unsymmetrical but not as much as per se 1 year ago.

hopefully that makes sense. im so sleepy right now.

Thanks for the info.

Also, if I have a natural think brow, using castor oil will not help at all?

well i dont know because i have black hair and my brows were light black and now its
darker.

im sure it will still have some benefits for you like strengthening your hair.

Does anyone know any good eyebrow pencils?

I have one from YSL that I love and it's great, but the colour is slightly too warm for it to blend in perfectly with my brows..
