My Kelly croc is very dark forest green. Her bag does look much lighter, more like an emerald. Didn't know what was going on with the top flap. Didn't look good for the bag What did she have in there, shoes

Rigide vs. supple

Hello! I missed you all this weekend when the server was down. I have become addicted to this board

I have a question about kelly bags. I seem to know more about birkins than kellys and would like to learn about the difference rigide vs. supple. So the stitching is on the outside of rigide? Do only certain leathers come in rigide? What do you all like better?

Well, I did not end up taking my new Kelly to NYC...but I am definately going to enjoy it this week The blizzard in NYC was a little unexpected so I guess it was best that it stayed home protected!

Anyway, I was flipping through the new March Bazaar and saw a Hermes ad and the model is holding a Kelly Longue. It looks sooo nice! Have any of you seen this in person? I wonder what the actual dimensions are? Hermes NYC was still waiting to receive them. I think it would be great in white for spring

I will take pics of the 35 Kelly this week and post.

MnPurseLover- I tend to prefer the larger sizes in supple and the small in rigide. Rigide is definately more elegant.

My First Hermes Handbag

Ok...here is a pic of my new kelly 35cm in swift. I am glad that I didn't take it to NYC in the end. I have been using it all week for work and I it!! I love to look at it! I want to sell all my other trendy "it" bags and be a Hermes ADDICT! I can not compare it to any other handbag I have ever owned. I love Chanel, and LV but the quality of these bag just can not be compared..I am hopelessly in love

I admit that Twigz (i think she was the one that said this) was right about being a few minutes behind...to open it, close it, etc...but I think its part of the whole experience. I don't close it completely when I use it, I just twist the clasp. Even though its big I feel ladylike when I use it...already been pairing it with jeans/heels, slacks/flats. Looks great with everything.
