^Well... to be fair... my friends started asking me who I liked more Peeta or Gale before the movie had it's cast. But yes, it looks like the Peeta or Gale question has already begun! I mean, I know who I'd pick, but I do respect other people's choices. I'm not like my friend who literally freaks if you don't like Peeta! She told me that she got angry when her friend from school was a supporter of Gale. People take certain things a bit to seriously I suppose. And for the record, I'm team Peeta. Although, I totally respect Gale and can see why a lot of people like him.

And Twi-moms.... they are a whole different level of crazy. They scare me.

i'm team Peeta too. i'm just having hard time staying in the team with Josh representing him.

The casting for Gale makes me worry for the casting of Finnick if they make Catching Fire. Gale and Finnick were maybe the only two people in the book who were identified as being very goodlooking. If Liam is the producer's idea of really goodlooking then there is no hope Finnick will be uncommonly attractive.

i wouldn't call him ugly, don't get me wrong, but he's just so uncharismatic and boring that good-looking is all he is. but he's not hot or someone i could ever "swoon" over, you know? he's just blah, he totally leaves me cold

I've been wondering who everyone had in mind to play Finnick? Because he's one of those characters I feel that people are going to be torn over no matter who they cast. And I was talking with my sister about who we thought would make a good Finnick and it was hard for us to think of someone. When I think of Finnick I picture some sort of bronzed-god like man. Actually, sort of ethnic looking, like perhaps a bit middle eastern or something. Even though that's totally not what he's suppose to be like if I'm remembering correctly. But most characters never look how I picture them in my head.

I hate to compare Twilight and THG but IMO, here we see the same situation as in Twilight. At the begining no one was really excited about Rob, he was this kind of odd not that known actor, people called him boring and ugly. And what do we see now? Everyone calles him hot and he has like a billion fans all over the world.

I'm not a fan of THG cast, just because I've imagened them completely different. But I think the casting team has collaborated with PR people, too. J. Lawrence for sure was chosen because she's become quite popular in past two years, especially after she got nominated for Oscar. Besides that she could do some required things like archery and fighting because from what I've read she's learned a lot for Winter's Bone . Liam as well as Jennifer is a fresh face in the industry, and come on who can resist him.

What about Finnick I first pictured him as Chace Crawford then as Ian Somerhalder. At the begining I thought he was the Prince Charming type.

I think Finnick will need to be an unknown. To me, actors like Chace and Ian are too vanilla and conventionally attractive-not exotic bronzed,tanned Adonises. That said if they're going with a known actor the first one that comes to mind for me is Jesse Williams from Grey's Anatomy-- He has bronze skin, bronze hair, sea-green eyes and a very fit body.

^Yes, Finnick is suppose to be tall, bronzed, golden hair (although I thought he was more of a brunette...looks like I was wrong), fit, and have beautiful sea-green eyes.

Since I can't really picture any current actor who would be the perfect Finnick I hope they end up casting an unknown.

In this exclusive photo from the moments just before their introduction, Cinna (Lenny Kravitz) readies a final flaming flourish to Peeta and Katniss’s black costumes. “This is one of those moments where Cinna’s character syncs up with the creativity of our costume designer Judianna Makovsky,” says Ross. (Makovsky earned Oscar nominations for her work on Ross’ previous moviesPleasantville and Seabiscuit.) “What Cinna was trying to do was create something that came out of District 12, out of a coal mining world, with a fresh, bold look to it. So Judianna went to this wonderful black reflective material that glistened like coal or graphite and would obviously work well in the Tribute parade where Katniss becomes the Girl on Fire.”

I like the reasoning behind the costumes, and I think they look great. I can't wait to see the actual scene with them on fire!
