Thanks! is Selfridges in the US? I always thought it was in London.

Oh yea...it is I forgot...sorry. It might be worth it to check the Gretchen's Closet website for D&G stocked online.

it's not that one circoit, but I was thinking bv too: the leather, the loops on the handles, the design, the lack of hardware and the beige interior. it's probably a new style that hasn't come out yet.

Help on a handbag name??

I was in Marshall Fields last week. They had a beautiful messenger bag in the glass case. I looked at it and walked away. I went back one more time to look at it. It was 285 or 295 somewhere around there. It was a messenger bag that had a leather strap and leather corners. The majority of the bag was like patchwork of crystals, beading, and sparkley pieces. It was really beautiful but I thought where am I ever going to use that. I thought the name of the designer was Christina. I called tonight and they were all gone, the lady i spoke to has no idea of what I am talking about. They also had 2 other bags that were more on the evening bag side, that were clutches. I believe they were like 185. Does this sound familar to anyone? Thanks for all help!

Just wanted to mention maybe call and ask for 'merchandising' - if it was in a display, maybe the display people will have a clue.

It sounds kind of like 12th Street by Cynthia Vincent. She makes what she calls "gorcery bags" that have a lot of crystal beading and is around that price range.

the brand is indeed "christiana" (never heard of it or seen them before) and here are a couple of the bags on MF's site:

Hanne I have a pair of wide leg high waisted trousers that I got in Jigsaw years ago....but I can't think where you'd get a pair...have you looked on yoox?

Grey shoes - THAT is a difficult one. I actually saw a pair of grey nubuck & black ballet flats on www.frenchsole.com today.

I can't help on the yellow velvet ones though...sorry

I haven't started to look reeally hard, just recently started asking SA in stores if they had pants like that..

Grey shoes is a tough one and the velvet mustard yellow ones are as well..hm e-bay maybe ?

I only did a quick brows at french soles only ones that looked grey were actually olive coloured.. I'll have to look closer at the site soon
