A Great Top

Hey by the way i signed up only a few days ago.

I am searching for a really great top that seen Nick Valensi of the Strokes wearing in an edition of NME. It is a vintage v-neck red and white striped top. I have searched all day and can not find it. The stripes are about 2 inches long with no gaps. I hope some one here can help out.

Cheers

Kristos Kabiotis.

Help me identify this bag

I have a bag that I need some help with. I believe that it is vintage couture. It made entirely of wood and shaped like a donut. It may have been circa 2004. Any help is appreciated.

^ bentle, where did you see it? Something like that showed up on that reality show about a male model in New York - anyone remember the name of that show? His mom and sister attended a show he was in, and they talked to a woman in the front row with the wooden bag - at the time, I tracked down the gallery in Paris that carried it, I'm just trying to remember where I found it... Is this ringing any bells for anyone else??

Wait, when you say you "have" it - do you really have it?! Like, cool!

bentle, if it's the bag I'm thinking of - it's IBU Gallery in Paris. Address in style.com.

"IBU Gallery, at 166 Galerie de Valois, displays the work of the artist Irena Borenza Ustjanowski, who’s known by her initials. She perished with her husband, famed breadmaker, Lionel Poilâne, in a helicopter crash several years ago. Her collaborator, Cyril Ermel, now presents her bold modern jewelry, sculpture and furniture." (from the May 05 issue of Paris Notes)

Here's a version in metal:

IBU Gallery Bag

I actually have one. We run a consignment store, and you would be shocked at what comes in. People just have no idea what they have sometimes, but we do not take advantage--tempting as it may be. Right now, I'm trying to verify the authenticity of this bag. Does anyone have any pointers?

bentle, I would think the best thing would be to write to the gallery - it's such an unusual bag, I doubt if many people have ever seen one IRL.

The perfect pair of summer trousers?????

Please do not suggest the ann d long, full. satiny trousers with the pleats at the front because it's a sensitive issue for me... too expensive and there's nowhere I can find them in my size...

There was a pair of shoes on anthroplogie.com that I wanted but they're out of my size. Is it worth emailing them to see if they have it in stock somewhere? I'm not familiar with how their stores work.
and
Once net-a-porter sells out of a particular item, do they ever get it back in stock? I saw this Cacharel cloudberry dress on there, but within an hour it was gone. Any ideas on where to find it now?

I've worn my Blood & Glitter jeans to sheads..and when I went to get another pair at the only store (Flying A) I know that carry them in Copenhagen, unfortunately they no-longer stocked the womens jeans - only the mens (which I was okay with..only problem they go down to my size :( )

So now I'm looking for another place that carry my favorite jeans..
And I'm thinking of trying Earnest Sewn, since I've heard so much good stuff about them (something like this : http://www.ilovejeans.com/product.php?id=380)

Soo..does anybody know which stores stock wither Blood & Glitter or Earnest Sewn in the Copenhagen area ?
