I'm pretty sure it's them. I think the lack of scrunch is because they've not been worn and got that lived in look...plus the pale color is off-putting (for me at least). The color of the boots in the ad is really nice.

I need a good twinset (sleeveless/cardigan) in really black and in white. I want more of a sweater material (not necessarily cashmere) but something nice, pretty that I could wear to work or with jeans and heels perhaps.
I have note seen any for fall yet... any help?

Loving the leather corset belts and slimmer double buckle belts. Seen plenty of them in Vogue, Lucky, etc. I live in Charlotte, NC -- obviously, they have not made their way into the stores yet (seems like they are always a season behind out here). Caramel,Jcrew has some nice ones. cotton for summer/fall and cashmere for the winter. I have two jcrew cardigans and they are with very good quality.

i'm looking for a really, really ridiculously good pair of BLACK high stacked heel boots with a bit of a platform. i'm not looking for rainboots, but the quality definitely needs to be good enough that there will be no water leakage and should last me awhile. i've got small calves and i'm looking for something below the knee... probably around mid-calf preferable. would appreciate any suggestions!
