Help! - finding shoes/boots

Which boots do you think will look good on skinny legs?
Going shopping for boots this weekend, somewhat short on time, so I can't really try on every boot, I'd like to know which shapes to look out for.
I am thinking that architecturally chunky boots won't look good, but slim-shaped might work even with a bigger opening at the calf, but I don't know about that.
Really liking this prada boot, even though it got a thick sole and a fairly thick heel, it still looks light.

Also I want to get some sexy but versatile heels, maybe along the lines of CL Clichy's (mmm... black ), but I don't want to be dealing with all of the waiting list BS, I just want to pay my money and get my shoes.
(I am willing to wait for the boots though - it's still only september)
I Love Chloe python pump, but i need a basic color shoe right now, besides, i have nothing to wear with coral. I am all out of ideas!

Price Range for boots around $1000, but i can spend $1500-$1600 on a really great boot; and for shoes around $600-$700.

oh, I am also not too big on logos; I don't mind toned down or embossed logos that gucci does, but logos like burnt LV's on a brown background, or multi-color on white make me want to cry.
