could someone give a plost summary of Shane of this last season cause i didnt see it at all. Did Carmen come back?
Shane got romantically involved with Jenny. So, from friendship to girlfriend. It didn't work though, because Jenny was kinda controling Shane. Carmen didn't come back, but was on a video that Jenny put together as a goodbye gift for Bette and Tina (leaving LA for NY- City).

Which reminds me: Is any of you have seen the "Interrogation Tapes" which was/is a sort of bonus that was feature at the Showtimes website? We do learn a few things from them but not that much. The best tidbits are Shane confessing that she did burn her Wax salon herself (season 5 I think?). Why? She doesn't say. Then you have the Nikki Stevens tape where she admits that she did stole the negatives from Lez Girls and placed them in Jenny's attic.
Here they are. More of them can be found on YouTube:

^^ I really wish these talks will lead to a real deal but i don't think anything will happen since even the spin-off set in jail has been turned down by showtime..:(
I hate being so negative but basically we'll never see a proper ending for The L word :(

Actually, I think the movie will more than likely happen, eventually. Jennifer and Laurel have been pushing for it, and there are so many Tibette fans out there that will push for it, too... while on the other hand, not many L Word fans liked the idea of a spin-off in which Alice would be in jail.

uhg, i didnt complete season 5. the last ep i watched is when jenny died. :(
and i dont know the ending. :(
i hate that carmen didnt have a major comeback :(
well, the l word movie sounds interesting! hope its gonna happen! :D

you know what bugs me,how come there isn't a show like this for gay men? we had queer as folk and will & grace but to me those shows played too much on pathetic stereotyping so they were never really what i consider catalysts for the gay community. this show however was brilliantly written and had complex and eclectic characters and storylines that went beyond the stereotypes all gay people endure in entertainment and the media.

Yeah Scott, you are right. I agree with the stereotypings about gay men shown in Will & Grace and Queer as Folk not to mention other shows as well - I am thinking Sex in The City. The gay men are great lovable personnages but it does reek of stereotypes. As in The L Word, other more complexed dimensions (never shown before) are well developped which makes it a unique and breakthrough television show. Of course it has it's flaws which does not make it less interesting.

I liked watching The L Word. My favorite characters were Shane and Alice. Their characters feel so alive because of the actresses portraying them.
But I believe Jenny is the hottest among all of them. I just love petite small girls. Her bf was an idiot of dumping her. She being a lesbian just add to the hotness factor.

I agree with the above poster that there should be a series like The L Word but it is about gay men. Most of the gay shows are comedy (Will & Grace) and makeover (Queer Eye). A character driven gay show is interesting.

^ i agree
i love shane and alice too. :) and jenny, shes super amazing!! mia really played jenny well, shes a great actress! :)
i hope there's gonna be another show like l word sooner. im really sad it ended:(

i started watching this show not too long ago, on season 3 now.
i didnt expect much from this show, but it turned out to be really good!
i just wished they kept marina on the show. i thought she was the hottest character.
it's funny, i actually dont like jenny so much. i dont know, something about the girl's face i guess.

just finished watching the series and wow, phew!
so much drama. what a tight show!

i hope they make a movie! maybe in there they will get the 'how did jenny die' question answered. but than honestly...i dont really care. i suppose that is how much i didnt like that character.
but yea, by the end i was like...'this is it?' it doesnt feel like the end at all!

I wachted the whole season 5 again and i am inclined to think that Jenny was really misunderstood. I dont think she was a bad person, she takes it a bit octave with the drama but she genuinely has a sweet soul.

i suppose she is not entirely evil but just the way she acted was enough to turn me off big time. though i still think the way she thought she should do something sometimes is quite strange, and in her little head she justifies to herself that she is doing the "right" thing, when the people around her has a totally different take on it, as they were being on the side that were treated unfairly. she does have her little cute, sweet sides but personally, she doesnt have that effect on me.

i have yet to meet anyone like shane in real life, hehe. i know she can really charm but i probably dont see myself falling in love with her though. i would however fall for marina for sure.
a really strange thing, the character molly reminds me so much of the only girl i liked in the looks department, who was also straight and have a bf. it broke my heart, i was no shane of course haha.
