Yesterday I watched Un long dimanche de fiancailles and re-watched Les quatre cents coup.

Un Long... was beautiful cinematically. So sad and cute at the same time.
400 coups is a classic. Amazing.

I've just returned from A Very Long Engagement... I'd wanted to see it for ages now, and it far exceeded my expectations. The filmatography was glorious and sweeping, Audrey Tautou was lovely and the director impressed and surprised me. I actually found myself crying at parts too, and I don't often cry in movies. I cannot wait to watch it again.

Has anybody seen Hotel Rwanda? I really want to see it, but I'm scared of it too. I'm afraid it will make me incredibly sad.

Honestly, it is a deeply saddening and powerful film, but it's also incredibly beautiful, and though it is hard to watch, I'd recommend going to see it, because it truly is worth it
