^H&M doesn't sell polyurethane for $100, and they do make leather jackets.

okay, maybe not $100 at h&m, but the one i saw in boston last week was $60, and maybe i just missed the leather ones.... and UO online definitely lists all its polyurethane jackets at $128....

anyway, i wasn't trying to be snarky.

Does anyone know of any Web sites that sell leather jackets online? I'm looking for a black one that hits near or above the hips and willing to spend around $300.

Have a look at revolveclothing. They carry leather jackets from different designers/brands in various shapes/styles.

Yeah I got a nice real leather jacket for £30 (on offer) a few years ago. Not the best leather ever obviously but good for the price :D

That's brilliant, I doubt you could get one left on sale anymore!

It was a week when they had various big sellers reduced to try and get people in store. Luckily my gf worked there and was able to nab a small before they all went :)

I don't know about the leatherjacket,
although it's a classic piece and a must have for everyone
I find it very expensive for the few times one can wear it,
I mean that you can't wear it when it's too cold (because it aint warm enough) and you can't wear it when it's raining because the leather it's water resistent, and in the summer you won't wear it because it's not matching a summeroutfit. So few occasions left where you can wear it.
That's a pitty but of course I can't deny it's a must have:)

i got to diasagree. if it's really cold out, you layer a hoodie on underneath. layers are key. i've worn mine in the rain too. not problems there, and i often wear mine with summer clothes. i think it's a year round staple honestly.

I wear my black leather motorcycle jacket all year round! In the winter I layer it with sweaters or hoodies, in spring I wear it with a cute summery dress. When it's fall I wear it with a dress and stockings and boots. it's perfeeect!

I think it's key to find one that really has a good cut though, because there are a lot of weird looking leather jackets out there, that are too lumpy or wide..

lol I have to agree with you, though I've been wearing leather jackets all year, too, but youre rite, when its cold, they dont warm you at all, while in summer, Im usually sweating when Im wearing one...
I almost never wear one because I "just need a jacket" but only to "look good", when it goes well with the rest of my outfit, if you understand what I mean...

I want something like Ketshi's from Zara. It's perfect in my eyes. I love that Doma grey one too, although I hate saying Doma, because I keep thinking of DOMA: Defense of Marriage Act.

I want a both a bomber and a biker jacket, the biker to wear open, because I'm a little busty with a small waist and it would be too overwhelming otherwise.

Fit-wise. What should I be looking for? How much breathing space should I leave between my measurements and the measurements of the jacket, for example my bust is a 33 below my chest and I wear a 34D bra. How should I factor that in? And then waist-wise I think I'm somewhere around a 24, but I haven't measured in a while.

I wear mine when it's really cold. Like jun3machina says you just need to wear something warm underneath (if you have room). They are waterproof as well!

I do :D
and i agree with you on the 'just to look good' part, I know I wear one because it matches my outfit, but because it's a jacket and maybe it's cold

In Australia, I have to say that I am completely sick of people wearing these jackets. Mainly because it's only worn by teenyboppers here.

After a long time of waiting I finally go my RO jacket in the mail yesterday. I don't think I'll be able to wear it for at least another two to three months though.

such a pretty jacket! where did u order it from?
