Spotting the Next Hoodie - Professional Trendhunters

i can't believe that this professional trend watcher actually believes that raccoon hats could possibly come "in"....

i don't know..
i just pulled a couple of racoon tails from McQ for a fashion story and fur is bigger than it has beenin years...as is headwear...
so if you put that all together...i'd say it's a reasonable conclusion....

could happen...:innocent:

I actually saw a girl with one this winter.. it looked silly but so did formal shorts before the huge comeback

I don't really like the trends they are finding...let's hope they don't move away from the hipsters.

This generation of people who are starting to wear printed hoodies, crazy cuts, crazy colors, pleats and darts in different places is a breath of fresh air...

Its refreshing to see something new we as designers and buyers need to push the limits of fashion. It is hard to create new cuts and styles because the generations behind us have already paved the path. Its time for us to start layering differently PUTTING ART ON CLOTHES. This is our era....

Its time for us to change fashion not fashion change us ...... I frown at those trend books that older women seem to be able to predict what people want to wear. Its time for people to wear what they are inlove with not what someone told them what they are inlove with...
(Though it is a good way to make money)

with very few selection there is a more condensed group of consumer to these hot items...

Lets get this clear a trend isnt a hoodie, a trucker hat, a pair of leggings those are element that create a trend.

where do these professional trendhunters go search for trends? on the streets? cause if so, they're a little late if they're trying to forecast a trend.

I mean seriously, its so silly that people sit out there and label themselves as "trend hunters" when you know you must work in the business in order to do this, and not just work at a boutique or be the assistant of a designer, this goes back to textile experts and things like that.

I personally don't follow trends as much, im hung up to whatever I find best on me, and if its hot at the moment, great. I do pick up certain things here and there that are "disposable" cheap accesory trends that can make an old outfit be refreshed. But I dont see myself following trends, im always wearing the same old black crap.

and those hoodies, how hideous. I hate people that find an excuse to look like they just walked out of the gym or just want to look like scruffy douchebags; "its a trend"

leather hoodies baby! my "it" prediction...
also old navy's f/w 2006 line.

these trendhunters seem a bit lame...i mean, once a solid number of people around the world are wearing something, isn't it practically hitting mass retailers, thus on its way out the door?
