The Lips thread, all you need to ask and know...

I think the way you apply it is more important than the formula of the lipstick.
I think it also depends on how many times you wet your lips unconsciously. I also have some trouble keeping lipstick on, but I think that applying it with a lip brush and than blot and than reapply and blot again, helps to really seal the colour into your lips:flower:.

Looks yummy! If only I knew where to buy this brand..

Does anybody know of any good lip exfoliators? If I don't apply lip balm frequently throughout the day, my lips feel dry and irritated .... Any good tip for that?

Gently exfoliating with a washcloth seems to work the best for me, but Clinique has a product called "All About Lips' that will exfoliate them and makes them super soft. I know Fresh also has a scrub/exfoliant, but it wasn't my favorite.

Just use a damp washcloth before bed and then put Vaseline, Aquaphor or any thicker chap-stick.

^tnx everyone, great tips! I've tried the washcloth + thick layer of vaseline and the result is great. :flower:

^^^FleurDeLys, they sell Hourglass at Barney's and on the Barney's website. I'm sure they ship internationally if you really want the lipgloss.

Do you know what lipstick Laetitia is wearing in this advert? I love it and I'm desperate to find it! Where can I look for?

Has anyone tried Fresh Sugar Plum lip treatment please? I love the Sugar Rose one, but I like the idea of a plum shade with a bit more pigment.

can anyone ID this red lipstick? it has golden particles or something that makes it sparkle a bit... I know it´s a long shot so any help will be very welcomed

I'm lusting after matte neon lips, as seen at Jil Sander, Fendi and DVF..:

anyone knows a rather cheap brand (< 15 euros) that makes similar lipsticks ? thanks !

revlon. their matte range is better than mac's in terms of formulation, as it is nowhere near as drying!

I know it was a custom tint but any ideas where i can get a color very very similar?

Mac Impassioned maybe? It's probably a few different colours mixed, though. Sometimes you can find make-up information for a particular runway show and even if you can't find a list of products, you can usually find out who did the concept, eg 'John Smith for Bobbi Brown' which can steer you to the right brand

Has anyone used those lip tar products? I was wondering what the consistency is like and also if anyone has used the neon red one.

Do you guys use lip tint/stain? And how do you use it? I bought one today and I like it. It's a bit sticky though, but it feels like I don't have anything on my lips. I just don't know how to use, with or without lipbalm, or is there another option?

^I usually use mine alone but sometimes I add clear gloss. You can use lipbalm after the tint I guess...
