I love this length, nice for showing off your shoes or socks.

I'm putting Capris and rolled up pants under this catergoy:P

I love this length but unfortunately, it really only has impact on those of a certain height. Otherwise, it really can make you look quite squat. But it really does add a certain elegance to some looks.

It's not the height that's the problem...I think you have to have very tiny ankles in order to pull this off :ninja:

I think it's more your calves than your ankles

But I think you can pull it off if you find the perfect length, sometimes it's just a matter of centimeters between an unflattering and a flattering length.. and if you're calves aren't the best you can wear it below them

But I do feel like it's best to wear this with heels, you can look somewhat stumpy otherwise

^Calves too, yes, but I really feel that your legs will look like tree trunks if you don't have skinny ankles. Oh, and you're so right about that one inch that makes the difference.

I think the wider skirts can be made more wearable if they're slightly shorter in the front

no way would i dare to try this one. you've gotta at least be very tall.

I agree, I think that's what can make you look stumpy.. when it's too long in the front.. kind of like that grey Marc Jacobs in the first post

I love them! Never thought that i would. I'm only 5"4 but the correct shape (for me, A line, nipped waist with soft flowing lines) can be really flattering on any figure. I think they create such a feminine, timeless silhouette, which i love.

It's a shame so many people around the web are calling them mumsy, frumpy, etc. I'm sure if they are styled well anyone (almost) could revitalize such a classic!

here's a good streetstyle picture of Abbey after the chanel show (first posted by FashionPower in the model streetstyle thread)

Love the trend, but you have to make a big effort to look good in a midi lenght when you haven't got killer legs.

It wouldn't look good on my body but I loved it on the runway!
