A leather jacket I absolutely adore from Barney's co-op at the Grove in LA.

Ditto, the most I've spent iss..$130 on Doc Martens ( Christmas money) and when our house was sold my mum bought me a $150 JacketWow... And everyone I know thinks I'm bad for spending $200 on a sweater. It's hard for me to spend more than $100 on any single article of clothing, I couldn't imagine spending several thousand... Especially since I've grown up being taught that clothes and things like that aren't important. It's better to invest your money in something like the stock market or real-estate.
When I was younger, my family didn't have a lot of money. My parents could barely speak English and the only source of income we had was the stipend my dad received as a grad student. But we were happy. A lot happier than we are now, even though my dad has a good job and income now. I feel like it was because back then we made the most of what we had, and all the material things, while nice, didn't dominate our lives. Whereas now there's so much stress involving making more money and buying more things that we aren't really ever content with what we have. I feel like the world's become a place where enough never really is enough.
That said, I really do like clothes. Just being a college student, it's sometimes not plausible to spend so much. And I feel like I never really appreciate what I buy. Still, given the chance, I probably would spend $10000 on a article clothing. Not to say I wouldn't feel guilty about it though... Because it goes against everything I was raised to believe in. But at the same time, beautiful things really are what make me happy...
$280 - Ben Sherman Coat
$230 - Julian Red Lady Hobokens
---
They were both so worth it though. I've worn the coat for a good two winters, and the jeans I wear practically ever other day.
Well, the great thing about being a teenager; I really don't have to buy expensive things for myself yet!
The most I've actually spent on myself is probably $25 for an Echo Red bag at TJ Maxx
Most spent on me in the last few years would be a $60 XOXO Homecoming dress
