its the size of a mini ipod, battery life is longer, ans has more features

Its great for people on a budget but I prefer the regular ipod only because I dont like the small size and I carry around a lot of songs.

Haha, me too! I like it because it doubles as a USB key so I can reserve part of its memory of schoolwork and such as well. I needed to buy one of those things anyway and they run upwards of $60 so this seems like a good idea.

I have a feeling my boyfriend might get it for me for Valentine's Day. I was online trying to order one and when he saw what I was doing, he practically ripped the laptop out of my hands and ran away with it. If that doesn't scream GUILTY I don't know what does.

I don't think you can as I was thinking of getting the mini but didn't because I bought the ipod mainly to record lectures and read that the recording device was not compatible with ipod minis.
