I think it is perfectly normal that Gwyneth has a british accent and tries to make it sound thicker, she lives in England nearly all near, her husband is this proud englishman totally anti-America's policies and most her family is english (aren't day?) I think it is perfectly normal
Maybe she just tries to make it obvious that she's british, she's proud of it and loves having a British accent. That's what Sienna Miller used to do in her early days. I personally think British accent is sexier but that's just me...(remember Jude Law in Alfie, that accent was so sexy)

Someone mentioned a few pages back that they didn't know who designed Michelle William's dress. I think it was Givenchy. I hated it at first, but it's grown on me. Gorgeous color.

But Keira is, and will always be, my #1 pic for the evening. Gosh. I'm still raving about it.

Gwyneth was one of the best, she's in my top 5 whichi includes Diene Kruger,KK,Nat Portman and Michelle Williams. She was lovely and I loved the make up plus I have the EXACT SAME EARRINGS!!

SJP is just like that, too giddy teenager,too Carrie and I love that. She looks like that kind of girl who would tell you "Don't worry sweetie""Hey honey,it'll be fine" (which are the words that Carrie uses the most in SATC)

I'm quite disappointed at the fashion at this year's Golden Globes:

First of all, I was hoping to see a lot of couture, Valentino, Lacroix, etc. but so far only Charlize seems to be wearing couture. Where else can you wear couture but to these kind of events?!

Spring calls for pinks and lavenders and blues.

technically, we're not in spring yet...it's still winter, even if it is LA...so i understand sticking to the winter-y palette...the problem is the s/s shows just happened, and i do agree that award shows is when you bring out the couture...maybe we'll see more at the oscars...

my faves:
kate beckinsale...love the hair, jewelry, gown...it all comes together
gwyneth paltrow...glowing! unexpected choice but she looks amazing!
sarah jessica parker...quiet, understated...she's very classy and everyone knows about her fashion sense...sometimes it's good to just be "pretty" and not flashy...
renee zellweger...for not doing what she always does...
scarlett johansson...i normally don't like her, but she looks fresh and young, which is how she should look!

the worst:
mariah carey...ugh!
fergie...satin cargo dress? uh, no
rachel weisz...should have called narciso!
emmy rossum...already done, not flattering at all and why does she insist on dressing like a 40-year old?

Gwyneth Paltrow is American, not British
Her father was Jewish. She was raised in Manhattan.
I don't know about Blythe Danner but "Danner" sounds like a German name to me.

Jude Law is British, and always has a British accent.. not just in "Alfie"
