The styling is at least creative, even if it’s a tad too middle-age gay Tom of Finland for my taste. And at least he’s not dressed like a child in oversized everything… What I’m not digging at all is the drag king MU/hair… Not sure if it’s the MU— or just excessive retouching. And the Papa Smurf beard is so icky— like, right up there with that blond hair/black beard mess that managed to convince some fashion victims for 15min in 2019 that it looked cool.

Not dragging him— just that this is someone who grew up in this corporate boyband manufacturing system since he was 12yo. And he didn’t come out until his brand had gone stale with the mainstream, which seems to be the typical pattern of so many closeted performers: Let’s go after the female stans while I’m fire. Then when I’m stale, come out to the thirsty gays for a second round of profit. And you want authenticity from someone like that LOOL
