Men's Health became the top selling-title in the men's paid-for consumer magazine sector in the first half of 2009, ending FHM's 13-year reign as the market leader.

Gary101 posted the subscribers cover of the Nov 09 UK Esquire, which showed Ricky Gervais from the back in boxing gear - the newsstand shot is a copy of the classic Muhammad Ali US Esquire cover of April 1968.

The original cover made some sort of statement, Muhammad Ali posing as Saint Sebastian, the Christian martyr, but the 2009 version with a grinning Gervais says nothing at all, except that someone thought it was a clever idea to do this laddish update (dailymail.co.uk, resourcemagonline.com
