I'm a fan of John, I think he's pretty easy on the eye, but I really dislike the tattoo personally. It's all my eyes are drawn to on the cover. This mass of colour of at one side!

I'm not sure that it's possible to take any other kind of photo of him.

I think I might otherwise like the Nicole Kidman spread, it not being trashy but rather very sultry and sophisticated (but then Peter Lindbergh rarely disappoints; great styling also by Michael Philouze), but her face seems stiff. It's not just that she has but the one expression, it really is... stiff. Like, Anderson Cooper-stiff. A result of her botox use, perhaps...

Robert Downey Jr. never disappoints, though. The man is such a funny, crazy cookie. Very good pictures of him in the Esquire shoot. Thanks for posting the scans, Mirik!
