In my English class, we're reading The Metamorphosis, and to get the experience of having completely changed, on monday, we have to wear an outfit that would be the opposite of us, or something we would never wear. We aren't suppose to tell anybody and see if (and how) people act differently towards us.

When I first heard this, I well panicked:innocent: but now I think it might be good idea.

I'm not sure what I'm going to wear yet, but I was just wondering what you all would pick for an outfit that's 'the opposite of you.'

Something trashy. Where sex came before art. I would rather people (men especially) HATED my outfit but know it was beautiful than have them love it and know I dumbed down. I would just inverse that.

 That was my first thought too! Something trashy and overtly sexy :yuk: Like Pam Anderson. But, gah! I would be so uncomfortable

On second thought, I still wouldn't wear something like to school... I have to give this some thought. I think it's really hard to abandon your comfort zone altogether :P

Something Paris Hilton-like...

Okay, okay, no. On second thought, I like sexy. Tastefully sexy, so the opposite of that for me wouldn't be MORE sexy, it'd be something much, much less sexy. Overalls perhaps. Baggy jeans and an oversized tee. :(

i think it would be...
.. baggy jeans, cap, bling-bling... :ninja:

I think mine would be similar to Kelly Osbourne a few years ago in her "punk" stage or something goth-like. You would have to pay me serious money to go out in an outfit involving biker boots, fishnets, black and illuminous pink striped t-shirt with maybe a studded leather choker and a long leather coat.

In real life, I couldn't be more preppy/ princessy by day if I tried :P I like to vamp it up at night though so I think punk/goth is the opposite for me no matter what time of day!

Anything from Comme des Garcons Homme Plus S/S 06 season would be the opposite of my style...I wouldn't exactly throw in hip hop style as an opposite of my look, because there are some slight references/nods to hip hop in certain ways I dress.

Anything 'punk' or 'goth.'

...I'm a preppy girl at heart. :blush::lol:

I can't say I can picture myself like this (no offence to whomever this girl may be:(

That sounds like such a cool assignment! I want to try it myself

I'd definitely show up in a too-tight Juicy tracksuit (preferably the one I saw today that says 'Juicy Bling' across the *** in rhinestones) with a rhinestoned G-string pulled way up my back and a puffy parka, with some clashing color AE polo with the collar popped  Oh, and baby pink Uggs. And fake LV cerises.

Unfortunately, that's how 90% of my English classes already dresses ... sigh.

Probably hip-hop style..
Like, a 50 Cent trucker hat, super baggy jeans (Fubu or whatever..:ninja) tight white tee..huge chains.

the opposite of my style would include things like:

a super-low cut top
a long floral dress
a professional suit
pink strappy shoes
anything with a logo on it
sneakers and tube socks
a catsuit
anything pleather
anything fur
anything feathery
severely pinnned back hair in a bun
high waisted pants
the club wh*re look
and HEAPS more!.........

geez, that girl in the pic above looks like a piece of tandoori chicken with that fake tan

a twinset and pearls...

Yes. A delicate one. In maybe a pink. With a tiny, pastel rose print. And something ruffly and lacy.

something very girly
something trashy
pastel colours
something with a logo
bows
heavy make up
straightened hair
trainers
white jeans
boho belt
hot pants
a "I am with stupid --->" T shirt
ect ect ...

Something OVERTLY sexy....where the flesh rather than the garment is the main feature.
A midriff baring crop top.....:ninja: and denim cut off shorts..........that would be the EXTREME opposite of my style. Top it off with a Von Dutch trucker cap, some bling bling, and those J-lo Caterpillar style high heeled boots.
Gosh...the mental image is enough to crack me up....

*real ugly end-of-nineties style tracksuit. doing this swish-swish sound when i walk. matching trainers.
*busyness suit
*girly. like, truely girly.
*um..picture this : sandals with socks. striped sports socks. jeans that are too short for me. showing the forementioned socks. add an oversized fleece. with a plastic silver - coloured zipper. better, let the sandals be with high heels and teaming it with this 90-s miniature pleather trapezium-shaped backbacks.
