i really don't see the point of this thread... he is not l. lohan...
we cannot talk about *****, and all pete news are related to that, there is kate and pete thread, we cannot post pics,....

what is this then?
read all about it
pete doherty has a new cat???a boat?

This thread is basically the place for....
He's in rehab... he is out of rehab.... he is on the wagon.... he is off the wagon....
He's in jail.....released from jail..... at a court hearing.... etc, etc.
The revolving door of drama that is Pete's life.

lol

or we could post pics of pete going to rehab, then pics of pete out of rehab, then pete going to court, then pete after being released from jail...:shifty:

That pic posting was overload. Although, I told the poster that perhaps this wasn't the right thread for that and I also was told I was offtopic LOL!

I guess we're just going to have to post pics, sort of like the online version of a picturebook.

Anyway, speaking of news I had no idea Pete and Amy's husband were friends at all. And if he's at court 'supporting' Blake, than when is he going back to the place where he is supposed to go to fix his problem with that thing?

Actually I was wondering that as well, cos aren't they suppose to be touring for the next month or so?

Pete Doherty Sober for Babyshambles First Night-Gig Review

23-11-2007 11:26:39

Pete Doherty showed the world he can do it without the drugs as he opened the first night of the Babyshambles Arena Tour in Manchester last night.

"It's hard doing this sober," he told fans who were treated to a rare display of just how talented Doherty really is when he's not staggering around half dead.

The former Libertines rocker and his band mates revved up the excited crowd with tracks from their latest album 'Shotters Nation' mixed in with some favourites including 'Killamangiro', 'Albion' and 'The Blinding'.

After a mix up with the encore- Pete left the stage with the rest of the band and seemed a bit confused about the running order but came back on and took to centre stage alone- he gave a heartfelt performance of 'Lost Art of Murder' that had an eery but moving feel in the massive Manchester Evening News venue.

The silenced, awe inspired crowd were then brought back to life as he burst into an acapella version of 'Build Me Up Buttercup' by The Foundations before rounding off the night with the popular 'F*** Forever', which had fans practically exploding with excitement.

A mention must also go to the support. Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong are definitely a band to watch- if not just for lead singer Joe's comical Jarvis Cocker-esque dance moves. They were followed by a strange but suprisingly entertaining choice of Dizzee Rascal- who seemed to bring his own legion of hip-hop loving, tracksuit-clad fans.

Ticket sales for Babyshambles first arena tour have been slow and the MEN was only half full but the enthusiasm of the Doherty worshipping army of fans made the venue feel almost full.

There's no denying that Babyshambles with Doherty present in body AND mind are even better than expected. Let's just hope their lead singer can stay sober long enough to realise the huge potential he has to be even bigger than the hype that surrounds him.

The tour continues tonight at Newcastle's Metro Arena, before heading to:
Brighton Centre (25)
Bournemouth International Centre (26)
London Wembley Arena (27)
Birmingham NIA (28)
Nottingham Arena (30)
Glasgow SECC (December 1)

Pete Doherty kicks off Babyshambles tour in Manchester

'It's hard playing sober' former Libertine admits on first night
23.Nov.07 8:00am

Babyshambles kicked off their UK tour at the MEN Arena in Manchester last night (November 22).

Pete Doherty and his band-mates played a set heavy on tracks from recent album 'Shotter's Nation' - including 'Delivery', 'Unbilotitled''You Talk' - but opted not to play any versions of songs by The Libertines.

Songs taken from Babyshambles' debut album 'Down In Albion' got the night's biggest cheers, with 'Albion', 'Killamangiro' and 'F*** Forever' inspiring loud, terrace chant-style singalongs.

In keeping with the jaunt's 'Oh, What A Lovely Tour' theme, the stage was decked out with bunting, large model cigarette cases adorned the monitors and images of comedian Tony Hancock, Winston Churchill and wartime newspaper front pages which were projected onto the stage backdrop.

After heading onstage for a delayed encore, Doherty alluded to his apparent drug rehab, explaining to the crowd that there had been a "bit of confusion there. It's hard playing these gigs sober, y'know?".

Doherty later burst into an acapella version of 'Build Me Up Buttercup'The Foundations before rounding off the night with closer 'F*** Forever'.

Reports of slow tickets sales proved accurate, with lots of empty seets visible at 15,000-capacity arena which also saw performances from Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong and Dizzee Rascal.

Check out NME.COM picture gallery from Babyshambles' first night now.

Babyshambles played:

'Carry On Up The Morning'
'Delivery'
'Beg, Steal Or Borrow'
'Baddies Boogie'
'Unstookietitled'
'Side Of The Road'
'Unbilotitled'
'The Blinding'
'You Talk'
'Sedative'
'Crumb Begging Baghead'
'Lost Art Of Murder'
'There She Goes (A Little Heartache)'
'Albion'
'Pipe Down'
'Killamangiro'
'Back From The Dead'
'I Wish'
'F*** Forever'

Kate Moss caught texting Pete Doherty

By Owen Williams - on Nov 25 2007

British supermodel Kate Moss was caught by her boyfriend, Jamie Hince - texting her ex, Pete Doherty. According to reports from Britain’s News Of The World newspaper, Moss was caught red handed by The Kills guitarist contacting the troubled ‘Babyshambles’ rocker - despite promising Jamie last month she’d never contact Pete again.
A source said: “Jamie hit the roof after seeing Kate’s texts. When will she learn?”
Meanwhile, Jamie was spotted snogging another woman at a friend’s birthday bash held at London’s plush ‘Punk’ nightclub in Soho. The blonde, a make-up artist called Louisa, had been flirting with Hince earlier in the evening.
A source said: “Jamie was really tipsy and had his hands in this girl’s hair as they kissed. Their snog lasted for about two minutes and it was pretty intense.”
“Louisa looked like Kate from the back. She looked hot in black patent tights, a white T-shirt and a leather jacket.”
“Jamie was arguing with the doormen to let them in, and he was pretty loud about it. They told him it wasn’t going to happen, and the next moment Jamie had fallen down the steep stairs into a huddle.”

Babyshambles reveal Pete Doherty substance ban

Band speak of special tourbus rules for their latest jaunt
26.Nov.07 10:36am

Babyshambles have revealed that there is an official alcohol ban on their tourbus while the band are on their current arena tour - a measure to ensure that frontman Pete Doherty remains clean and sober.

Babyshambles bassist Drew McConnell has revealed to NME.COM that the ban was imposed by Doherty himself as a measure to ensure he remains focussed and refrains from substance abuse.

"He's insisted on it [the alcohol ban]," McConnell explained. "I thought it was a joke at first but it's true - we're having to hide bottles of beer under our pillows! I think it's indicative of Peter's resolve to sort himself out."

McConnell went on to explain, in reference to Doherty's recent drug relapse, that the singer is "doing really well", and paid tribute to Babyshambles' fans for their support.

"We kind of want to thank everyone for their patience with him," he said. "We know what we're capable of as a band, and it's up to us to prove it on this tour. Hope springs eternal, y'know."

The Babyshambles tour continues in the Bournemouth International Centre tonight (November 26).

Pete Doherty plans solo album

The star has already started work on the record
26.Nov.07 4:01pm

Pete Doherty is a quarter of the way through recording his debut solo album and plans to release it next summer, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.

Three of the album's 12 tracks have been completed during secret recording sessions with producer Jake Foir.

Fior told NME.COM: "We're recording it piecemeal between two studios in London. We go in for two or three hours at a time, usually at about two in the morning, and get stuff down. It sounds slower and more intimate [than Babyshambles]. Pete's writing is more universal, rather than about personal experiences."

Fior explained that a large cast of musicians will appear alongside Pete, including his Babyshambles bandmates, who play on the track 'Cuckoo'.

South London band The Thirst, who visited Doherty at his Wiltshire home to demo with him, will also contribute, along with London rapper Klashnekoff.

Although recording for the album is well underway, Babyshambles' label, Parlophone, could halt its release. Fior explained that the plan is to finish the album then present it to the label with a view to an official release, but he says that so far Parlophone have been unhappy about Doherty recording outside of their control.

Fior was also able to reassure fans that, despite his heroin relapse, the Babyshambles mainman is "still on top form", healthy and enjoying life in rural Wiltshire.

"I just spent a weekend with him - just me, him and the cats," he recalled. "He's out there in a 28-room mansion - it's very '60s-style and cool, I keep expecting Marianne Faithfull to come walking through one of the doors!"
