The "Plastic" Look

I think some girls can pull this look off...like somehow they look sexy with it...

one example is Alena Shishkova (she used to be a model and she's changed ALOT)
she is very pretty...very fake looking too though...like a barbie...

but she suits the 'lots of makeup' 'fake' look

Um... No. It looks like one is trying way too hard and it gives the impression that one has a LOT to hide under all of that. I thought that the idea of makeup was to compliment one's beauty, not cover one's entire face in what is essentially a mask of various creams and powders. It also makes the tone and texture of one's face totally different from the rest of one's skin, which is unsettling, unattractive, and obviously fake-looking. It's almost like a partial Photoshopping of a picture, except it's real.

Personally I like the plastic look for night out. Like this one. I think it's great for clubbing or something like that. Why not? I love the polished look.

You hit on precisely what the plastic look is. It's the barcrawler look. There is a distinct lack of class to the plastic look. It makes one look cheap and easy, especially within the "clubbing" context.

^^ I think the plastic look is appropriate for clubs because clubs are dark places. So there are the right place for wearing dark makeup. I don't think it's a problem. There are girls who look cheap whatever make up they're wearing and girls who don't look like this whatever makeup they're wearing. If a girl is cheap and easy, she'll be cheap even with no makeup. In general I think there isn't much class in clubbing.

I'm agree that hair extensions, tons of makeup, drawn eyebrows and etc are a very bad idea for daylight. I hate the obsession with blonde hair (in my country - black), fake tan and etc etc... But if everything is measured, it's OK for me.

I like the plastic look when it's for "performance", for videos or photoshoots, because I find it very interesting, the artistry and the technicality of creating a face that looks very unlike the one that nature gave you.

I wouldn't see the point in anyone sporting that much make-up for everyday activities, but I do feel there's a time and place for a painted face.
