Super bronze!

Highlight inner corner with shimmer. Matte brown shadow blended over eyelid & above crease. Use a small bit to line your lower lashes. Use dark brown/black eyeshadow to create a darker line around your top lashes and lower lashes (but only to the center of your eye).

Use bronzer just under your cheek bones.

Use a nude lipliner to line lips, a lipstick that is one shade lighter than the liner, and tons of gloss.

Beautiful! :)

^just to add, you could use a dark brown or black pencil instead of very dark eyeshadow, very close to the upper and lower lashes. And of course lots of mascara! :flower:

Hello again make-up savvies :flower:!

I'm in love with this look from the Dries Van Noten FW11 show, especially the eye make-up (the colour is great!). Anyone's got ideas of how to achieve this look? Also if someone could suggest MAC shades that would be suitable for it, I'd very much appreciate it(I live in Chile (south america) so I've only got a limited range of mkup brands to go to).

The lips seem pretty much left au naturel, and the cheeks...maybe some contouring?

Thanks!

It wasn’t hard to grasp the inspiration behind the beauty look at Dries Van Noten yesterday. “There are elements of gold everywhere,” makeup artist Peter Philips pointed out of Van Noten’s gilded brocades and the similarly lavish trims at the Hôtel de Ville. Rather than play to a collection that was heavy in elaborate prints with an equally intricate makeup look, Philips kept it simple, opting instead to offer “a quiet moment” through clean skin and gold pigments. Prepping complexions with a light application of Chanel Pro-Lumière foundation, Philips devoted his attention to lids, which were coated up to the crease with a wet application of Chanel’s Joues Contraste Blush in Gold, created for the house’s much-heralded Paris-Byzance pre-fall show—and should be hitting counters soon. To add dimension and richness, Philips added a smudged-out scrawl of Chanel’s forthcoming Ligne Extreme liquid eyeliner in gold around the upper and lower lash lines. Eschewing mascara, as has become de rigueur this season, Philips finished things off with a velvety matte, rose-nude lip.

How would I go about getting this look (eyeshadow, bronzer, blush, etc)?

^Hard to say anything about the eyemakeup, but you can definitely find MUCH better fake lashes than the ones she's wearing. You can also find a less orange bronzer. I think the eye makeup might be pretty similar to #137, just with uglier fake lashes (optional of course). She's wearing a peach blush/highlighter with gold shimmer on the cheeks and forehead.

I'd skip the fake tan if I were her :ninja:

Is she wearing coloured contacts BTW?

Mila D You might wanna look at MAC Era eyeshadow.

I've had my eyes on it for a while :D

^BTW I think I've seen a lip gloss from Bourjois quite similar to the one she's wearing

^You know, her left eye doesn't look that bad...the right one looks freaky

eugh, her coloured contact is slipping on her left side..

does anybody have a special technique for getting the eyeliner perfect like that? I'm doing it wrong...all the time. :ninja:

Judging by the pics I'm assuming the MUA used gel eyeliner with an angle eye liner brush (the fine tipped one) and getting the precision right is practice and a lot of cotton swabs. I've been lining my lashes for a couple of years now and even I have my moments but most of the time I can do my eyes perfectly lined in most styles.

As for technique what I like to do is to start lining halfway/the middle of my lashline and winging it out in a fine line then I build it up depending how thick I want it, its better to start of thin for obvious reasons. Lastly I line from the inner corner of my eyes to meet where I first started. If that made sense...

I'd recommend you to slightly pull your eye outward, and make tiny dots and then connect them

try to use this brush

and make sure it's fairly wet (and not dripping wet, otherwise you'll mess everything up)

[sorry my english is not the best]
