The return of pointy toe shoes FW 08/09

I love both round and pointed shoes, though atm i'm feeling pointy shoes a lot more.

I personally like pointy heels (not necessarily flats). I'm glad that they are back for the upcoming season. I used to wear them all the time but I kinda stopped when round toes came and were all that could be found in stores.

CD After the bitter divide in the Men's Footwear thread, I expected more of you. Pointy-toe fans have to stick together.

In fashion, out of fashion, just a fad or not: I've had pointy-toed shoes for the last couple of years and they elicit only compliments at work and jealous stares when going around town. Admittedly, the monk straps I have hurt like anything...but with a shine and sleek silhouette they look fantastic and make me feel better.

after years of exclusive round-toe monomania, and as i was starting boring myself to tears, i decided it was time for giving a go to the new fab 'mini-points'.
no matter how much i love them, they will never gain first choice status in my weekly working wardrobe.
mini or not they still feel much less comfortable than my usual good-old-boring roundtoes.

that said, i absolutely understand why pointies are back for another 'revival' but please people, avoid the overdone lengthy/kitchy coachroach killer versions at all costs

I'm glad some sexy shoes are making a comeback. I never got why girls liked the round ones. They may be comfortable, but they're like boots, not sexy at all.

It is negotiable though I got a pair of pointed shoes day before yesterday. they are girls shoes but everyone I asked thinks they look more like mens shoes, they have buckles and is converse-height. I'll post pictures soon

i agree.
standing at 5' platforms help a lot.
i do like a pointed heel every once in awhile, though.
but as others have said, i hate the really long pointed toe. that's weird, ha.

i personally love platforms more, plus im like 5'3 and i like how platforms make my legs look ill wear them until i die

i like pointy shoes on other people and if they have a HIGH high heel to balance it all out. I like the ones ashley Olsen has been wearing lately. Or I quite like pointy flat shoes if they're a bit mannish
