^ personally I don't like any of those above. I like the shoes in the bottom left corner but the rest of the things I find to be eithger too drab or too tacky.

I really like those!

The techno/robot trend is probably my favourite trend of all. I love futuristic clothing. Donatella used this trend loads for Fall 2010 (men and women).

style

I would gladly give up my eyesight for that menswear collection, it's my guilty pleasure ^_^

I'm not not too keen about the futuristic/electro look... not really my style but when done right I can see that it can look quite appealing. I believe that fashion really needs a new sense of direction, I'm sick of seeing so many trends re-made season after season. These days, it almost as if everything is trendy. So if we take on futuristic, it may be a good thing ..

Some of them are awesome and some of them are just ridiculous.

Kind of irrelevant question: Does anyone know the name of the male model in the post #31?

I honestly feel like words such as "futurism", "techno", and "robotic " are thrown around too commonly as trends. Futurism as a concept is not necessarily new or even real futurism. It's more like referencing ideas and designs of the past that people thought others would wear in the distant future. Many of these things don't really qualify as a true conceptual search for what is innovative. I see it more as a gimmick and that bothers me a little bit.

^ Oh for sure! "Futuristic" clothes are only defined so because of the past's (70s-90s) view of the future. The "future" has come and gone and we still call it futurism  I don't know about gimmick though.
