Based off the few instagram images, i'm excited. I love what they do, has such an ease, Rei Kawakubo/Japanese feel to their clothing and added touch of menswear.

MARY Kate and Ashley Olsen of The Row, presented a collection this morning that had its audience wondering why we didn't wear clothes like this every day.

It was an assured outing for the duo, and every look, entirely compelling. You wanted to be their idea of that woman through and through - except - we probably won't be because we live in dirty cities and travel on tubes and buses and imagine the crinkling and scum that could interfere with these glorious fabrics!

The fabrics seem like a good place to start. They oozed consideration and expense. Silk shantung organza, silk burette, canvas boucle, slubbed linen blends all rendered into some seriously beautiful shapes.

There wasn't a zip or a button in sight. Balloon sleeved shirts were wrapped around torsos and other garments were scooped into bundles of fabric that was twisted, folded or knotted at the back. Hemlines dropped to midi lengths and silhouettes mostly fell away from the body - artist smocks and capes swooped into trapeze shapes. At times it verged on conceptual, but attainably so.

It was a standout collection that ushered in an organic kind of luxury, further aided by the palette of neutrals shaded from white to ivory to mocha. Sensational.
