I dont' know if there are any other payless minded girls out there, but I heard they are having a buy 2 get one free sale. I stick to Payless for my trendy stuff (so I don't feel guilty about getting rid of them when the trend is past). So now I KNOW I can stock up on some cute trendy shoes. I'll probably go during lunch and hopefully beat the Memorial Day rampage.

monday

- army-green military style button-down shirt from marc jacobs
- white polo from old navy
- black knee-length raincoat from old navy

today

I went thrifting today, and kind of went mad with green.

- green 3/4 sleeve knit shirt with white edging around the neckline and sleeves
- navy blue knee-length skirt with three rows of green and white polka-dot ribbon trim at the bottom... vintage from the mid-70's
- green knee-length a-line skirt with kick pleat in the centre. (I think it's an old girl scout skirt )
- floor-length ivory satin a-line skirt
- floor-length watermelon red silk full skirt
- floor-length muted olive green silk full skirt that buttons up the front. I'm going to remove the buttons and wear it over the red skirt so that it opens up the front. the colours sound like they'd look awful together, but in fact, when paired the colours were absolutely stunning.
- the windsor story, a book about edward VIII and wallis simpson.
- jack and janet, a cheesy but unusually thick children's "see jane run" type book with an adorable green illustrated cover that I am going to pull apart and make a handbag out of.

pendant (gold outline with red enameled, and it's either a bird flying downward or a stylized flower) on long goldtone chain

shopping is my drug of choice. A new bag will cheer me up for about 5 days. new organizational/office supplies will keep my mind off my troubles for about 6. shoes only last me about 4 days before the buzz wears off. I also love to binge on bedding. new duvet cover is such a pick me up! accessories are definately the biggest temptation. rings and bracelets are fun because you can see them on you all day. when you are low and using shopping to cure what ails you, you don't have to worry if accessories fit. my last shopping weakness is anything that makes you feel clean....body washes or a new perfume......smell good, feel good, feel put together.
