Lolita, your mother must have a great closet!!

 the watch utopia.

I've been to lots of thrift stores lately and found absolutely nothing!

But I bought some amazing black lace-up ballet flats from Nine West at the weekend. :P

love the armwarmers. i got some black and white striped ones from adhoc

went to ITALY today. bought:

a MISSONI scarf
a MISSONI striped jumper
crystal earrings

- black and grey striped over-the-knee socks from urban outfitters
- turqoise leather wrist-clutch from urban outfitters
- green small-chandelier earrings
- black hamptons leather carryall from coach (it's for uni...and officially the nicest bag my little college-student self has ever owned - I have to return my arcadia tote to afford it)

Nice bag, Utopia. I think it will make a perfect school bag. :flower:

What I've been spending on:
Shiseido Bio-Performance Eye Contour Cream
Shiseido face blotting paper
Prada Tinted Hydrating Gel
Dries Van Noten wide-ish leg trousers
Club Monaco black pleated mini (that I'll be wearing with opaque tights)
Gucci rimless, small, rectangular, light grey lens sunglasses
Black silver studded Manolo Blahnik hh sandals (they're very rocker-chick, vulgar even, but I got them on discount, a quarter of the original retail price)
Little Me&Ro silver earrings with garnet stones (about as "chandelier" as my tiny face will allow)
Kimberly Baker "Jack" earrings
Linea Nervenkitt "Leyla" earrings

I find that I've been compulsively buying earrings lately.

I  those linea nervenkitt earrings, angelica :woot:

today I went antiquing with my grandmother, and bought an amazing little vintage veiled hat. it's a lot like the hat in my old avatar (below), except this one is trimmed in mink. I don't believe in wearing fur, but this hat was so stunning that I couldn't not get it.

I'm the only one who posts in here anymore - I guess I'm alone in my compulsive shopping. :ninja:

today, whilst thrifting.

- perfect fitting tweed blazer
- black wool v-neck jumper from pierre cardin
- white grecian style chiffon pleated dress from the 70's...that with some strategic styling, looks very much like last year's prada
- dark greyish lavender satin bias-cut evening gown...gorgeous colour and cut, but it needs some alterations because it's several sizes too big
- tiny vintage black patent metal-latch clutch

oh no you're not, Utopia! :flower: that dress sounds like a beautiful find

i've been shopping all week for fall stuff  this is what i have so far:
-Orange long sleeved top with yellow trimming on sleeves & collar (Anthropologie)
-Loui jeans
-Eloise black coton top with lace v-neck
-Estee Lauder Idealist Skin refinisher
-Blue shirt for work from Old Navy, boring workwear
-Bunch of teen magazines for my 14-year cousin

my budget is pretty tight this season, so i'll get soem more stuff & that's it :(
will head to Century 21 on Friday

Went to Benetton to browse the Fall Collection ... bought the same shirt ... in 4 different colors, a nice warm scarf, THE messenger bag and an umbrella for mum

Everybody finds such amazing pieces. B) You guys would hate shopping with me. I've been in a weird mood lately where I don't really want to shop. And when I do shop, it's the same items over and over again.

My boring list:

- Black wool shift dress (Banana Republic)
- Black wool k-l straight skirt (Banana Republic)
- Black s-s cotton stretch tees (6 - from the Gap)
- Black Comme des Garcons V-neck cardigan
- Black Helmut Lang trousers (2 - thank you, yoox.com)
- Black quilted vest (Gap)
- Black fitted sweatshirt with 3/4 sleeves (Gap)

I think you have the most elegant wardrobe, astrid :flower: those kelly green leather gloves sound gorgeous!

in the past two days:

- very long emerald green silk chiffon scarf that wraps around so many times that it will be perfect for the cold
- black wool sweater vest
- black dojo jeans from seven

Thrifting yesterday yielded me
- 2 black patent clutches
- straw clutch
- peach/orange straw clutch
- adorable, fitted plaid blazer (I think it was hand sewn)
- floral polyester long sleeved top :ninja:

Various 1950's items for my retro home.

I've been bad......

Today I bought

Black racer back singlet with satin binding
Chocolate long skirt with an unusual gathered front that's really hard to describe
Black jersey draped halter-necked dress
Skirt pattern and fabric
Chocolate and white 70s style bikini ( I know I'm no 'spring chicken' but I still look OK in a bikini - promise! )

I've been saving my money... over the last few weeks:

- black lambswool turtleneck sweater
- off-white fuzzy wuzzy knit sweater with the front knit in a circle (that's the best way I can explain it), adorned with little see-through beads from H&M. This description does absolutely no right to the beauty of this sweater!!!!!!!!!!
- black fitted blazer
- dark gray socks with frogs wearing crowns on them

thrifting:
- camel/black striped full skirt (stripes going in a big /\/\ pattern)
- black slipdress
- beaded/sequined beige slippers for only 3 euros!!! this is the first time I've actually found pretty shoes at a thriftshop! and in my size! and not looking like someone ate them!

:innocent:

-Dolce & Gabbana black trousers with chain

-Dolce &Gabbana Belt

-Margiela sweater

Ever since I moved to Milan, I haven't really had time to go shopping. I work in a suburb where many tech companies are concentrated, so I can't just slip out and buy something during lunch... I've actually not spent a whole lot this past year! :woot:

Unfortunately for me, an energetic friend has been dragging me along to do some shopping these past few weeks. Thank heavens he left Milan! He bought loads, I managed to stay calm and collected:

A basic white cotton CDG shirt
A black polyester, furlined Prada jacket
A pair of Prada Chelsea boots

Besides that, I think the only things I've bought this entire year are a pair of Tod's shoes, Fratelli Rossetti "slippers", assorted underwear, a Prada briefcase, Prada sunglasses, a linen shirt from Zara and a great thick offwhite lambswool/angora zipup sweater. And a few small leather goods.

I try to control my spending ever since I ran up some substantial credit card debt a few years ago... I actually don't have any credit cards now, only bank cards. Yay!
